  • A England Snowflakes

Hey there! How are you? I've been so bad at posting here the last few months. Thanks for still swinging by now and then, though. How is your holiday season going so far? I've had a good month so far, decorating my house for my second Christmas in my home and staying warm now that Colorado Springs finally welcomed winter.

I've still been busy with nail art though! Here's a mani I painted and stamped with two A England polishes. A England was the first indie polish I heard of and I immediately fell in love with the gorgeous colors and flawless formula!

This snowflake image from Bundle Monster stamped perfectly with MoYou Londond's clear stamper. It's so exciting when the image transfers exactly how it was meant to!

  • MoYou London|Crystal Clear Stamper

Hello, there! I can't believe how long it's been since I posted. So sorry about that. I'm very grateful for work but I must say, it takes a lot of my energy so even when I paint my nails I tend to only post on Instagram since it's so quick.

Anyway, I hope you're well and are enjoying the beautiful autumn weather! I recently purchased another clear stampper, my third. This one is from MoYou London. It's called "Your Best Crystal Clear Stamp & Scraper" and I must say, the name is very accurate! Here's the first mani I used it for and I was so excited at how perfectly it picked up and transferred the images. It's also very large so it's very simple to see all the way through it when placing the image on your nail.

Ther you have it, friends! If you're looking for the best clear stamper yet, I highly recommend this one! It's available on the MoYou London site and they ship internationally.

I hope you have a wonderful day and I hope to see you again soon!

  • EP | Faux Beau

Hello, hello!! How are you? How is your summer going? I've been sitting on my porch enjoying being outside as much as I can before the season starts changing.

It's been quite some time since I've bought Enchanted Polish but this one caught my eye! I actually missed it the first time it was released... Then I was "trying to be good" and consciously passed it up on the second restock. And finally, I came to my senses last week and picked it up during the final restock! I'm sooooooo happy I did! This fabulous polish is a perfect minty green holo with ultra fine turquoise glitters packed throughout. Here are some pics, starting with a macro bottle shot!

Thank you for stopping by! Have a wonderful evening!💚

  • Cirque | Vice 2016

Hi there, how are you? I'm doing quite well today. The last couple months have been extra challenging but I've made it through 🙌🏼 and am actually off work all this week! I needed a break and my last day off was at Christmas so it was time.

I don't have a lot planned this week, on purpose, but you know I'm definitely making time for nail polish! I've been really good avoiding temptation to buy more polish lately until a couple summer collections launched. In the past, I would have just added every bottle in the collection to my cart but I'm still trying to be somewhat good so I chose three neon creams, out of five, from The Vice Collection 2016 by Cirque Colors.

Here are my swatches! I really love the three colors I chose!

Rehab - A vibrant periwinkle, blue cream.

Sin City - An intense, glowing coral cream.

High Roller - A neon mint green cream.

The other two colors that are part of the collection is a yellow (Electric Daisy) and a pink (Plastik) which are pictured below (photo from CirqueColors.com).

Also available is Cirque's holo top coat called We Trippy, pictured below over the creams (photo from CirqueColors.com). This was a limited edition last year when I purchased it and I love it! It's limited again this year so don't miss out if you're a holo lover like myself!

The Vice Collection is available now on Cirque and through various other stockists. Enjoy!

  • First of Steampunk

Happy Friday!! I had an intense week but it ended up well. I have a cool stamped mani to show you today. One of MoYou London's stamping plate collections is called Steampunk. This is my first Steampunk plate and I love the images on it! I chose a couple favorite polishes to create this mani.

I love the contrast of these two polishes together and I think they bring out the edges of this image perfectly! I also used my Cosette Clear Stamper to stamp this image super straight. I was having a bit of trouble with a few polishes transferring to the clear stampers but the A England holo transferred so well! I'll be stamping more soon, of course, so this is only the First of Steampunk!

I hope you have a great weekend!

    Suppies:

    Picture Polish - Lakodom

    A England - Bridal Veil

  • Fashion Inspired

Hello, hello! How are you today? I'm doing well. I've had a relaxing day painting my nails! I haven't spent so much time on a mani in a while until today. I was inspired for the mani I painted today by a Carolina Herrara dress from her Spring 2015 collection.

I absolutely love fashion, especially couture fashion. Many years ago I thought by now I would be a couture fashion designer. I have so many sketches from years ago but it's been quite some time since I've designed clothing. I'm still inspired by fashion though so it's fun to recreate fashion in nail art form.

This was quite the process... I painted scotch tape in the different colors I needed with Cirque Colors. Then I cut the tape in tiny pieces and placed the pieces where I wanted with tweezers. At first I thought I might just create this art on a couple accent nails but in the end I covered all 10 nails!

I hope you have a fabulous evening! I hope you like how this turned out!

  • Contrast

Hey there; how are you today? It was a serious Monday for me today... Never a dull moment at work, I tell you! Thankfully there's always nail polish!

So yesterday, I can't believe myself, but I actually went to Target and King Soopers for my weekend errands with naked nails!! 😱 I can't remember the last time I was in public with naked nails...

Of course, naked nails don't last long for me! I just can't help it... So I gathered a few Cirque Colors and decided on a simple dry brushed mani with a nude base for contrast. I really love how this combo turned out!

I love the dry brush technique because it's simple but has such a cool effect! It's also one of the fastest nail art techniques ever which is great too! I hope you enjoy it!

I hope you have a great week ahead. Sometimes when Monday's come I have to keep in mind that they're a beginning and beginnings are full of opportunity. So let's go make this week one to remember!

    Thanks for swinging by!

  • Cirque La Vie

Hey there! So, in case you haven't noticed, my favorite polish is Cirque Colors! I have a very difficult time not purchasing every shade they create! (And the Spring Collection launches tonight!!) Here is a taped mani I created with three Cirque Colors.

Here's a bit of the process for my taped mani. I've been using tape for about 20 years (no joke) in my manis. Before there was nail art tape and nail vinyls I used masking tape and cut it in all kinds of shapes so I could paint around it. These days there are great tools and supplies, pre-made, to help the process go a little faster. These are nail vinyls in 90 degree angles.

I'm VERY excited about how this turned out! It's so great to pull back the tape and see the finished product!

I hope you have a great evening and a good Good Friday tomorrow! Thanks for swinging by!

  • More Festival

Hi! So... I haven't posted this often in a very long time! Something about the new Bundle Monster Festival Collection of stamping plates has me on a roll with ideas so I hope you don't mind seeing them all! 😄

I started this mani with the saranwrap technique using three Cirque Colors. As I mentioned in my last post after using Poli-Peel for the first time I thought I'd try applying it once per technique. So I did that with this mani and it worked super well!  It was a very easy clean up after this step!

Then...I had to stamp! I used another Festval image in black over the base design. I chose one that lets through the base so it could all work together. I used my new clear stamper to get the designs as straight as I could.

I hope you like this one! It was hard to take off the ombre arrows from the other day but I was just too excited to paint more of my ideas.

I hope you have a great evening and a good Tuesday ahead!

  • Bundle Monster Poli-Peel

Hello there! I love Saturdays! I just joined the club of peel off nail products that minimizes clean up after nail art. The first I saw is called Liquid Palisade. A few other companies have similar products and I decided to purchase Bundle Monster's version. I didn't buy any for a long time because I just don't mind the clean up after hombre or stamping or watermarble...but all of a sudden I just thought, why not?

I decided on an hombre stamped mani to utilize the Latex Poli-Peel Cuticle Skin Protector to the max. Here's my mani-cave work station during the process! 😋

The Poli-Peel is designed to paint on around your nail so that after all the fun art you can just peel away the mess leaving your fingers clean. I found it very simple to apply but some may find it takes a bit more precision than the tutorials might make it look.

I was pretty excited to see how little I would need to use polish remover on the excess paint from the hombre process!

This image wouldn't have been too bad to clean up after stamping but I can think of plenty where the Poli-Peel-Peel would be sooooo great!

I was a bit surprised in the end, though when I peeled off the latex. The polish didn't really stick to it so for the most part, the latex peeled off out from under the polish... For my right hand as I peeled I grabbed the latex with tweezers closer to the fingernail which worked better but again, some of the videos make this process look flawless...when my first experience was not.

So here's the finished mani! I loooove how the subtle hombre and delicate image work together! I used three muted colors so the black image would stand out. I used another image from the newest Bundle Monster Festval Collection. I'm so excited about the limitless possibilities this collection's images offer! There will be more Festival manis to come!

In the end for my first mani with Poli-Peel I had a lot more clean up than I expected. I did learn some things about it though. Next time if I use more than one technique I plan on using the poli-peel twice; once per technique. It was just a lot to clean up all at once.

So, what do you think? Have you used a latex peel off product? I am super tempted to purchase a couple other versions to see how they compare. I'll let you know if I do.

I hope you have a great evening and a wonderful Palm Sunday! See you soon!

  • Organic

Hello! How have the first few days of extra light in the evenings been for you?! I always do a little dance when we get to Spring forward! I just love the extra light after work!

I ordered and just received the Festival Collection stamping plates from Bundle Monster. There are so many detailed and intricate designs in the collection, not to mention fun! I have lots of ideas for so many of the images!

    (Photo Cred: Bundle Monster, Instagram)

I started with a tribal design from the collection. The design itself isn't completely perfect so I decided to add more depth to it by using black and white for the stamping. It's actually the first time I've used more than one polish for stamping, if you can believe it.

I'm normally the one who needs everything just right, clean, crisp... But something about the way this turned out is also just right. The black and white random blending in this design created an organic look. I really love the result!

I hope you have a great evening! Thank you for taking a peek at my little corner of the nail art world... 😘

  • Art Inspires Art

Hey there! How are you doing today?

I've had two very long weeks at work! I have a couple really big projects going on and the work has really drained me lately. Thankfully, there are weekends! So I've been relaxing today and I had time and energy to paint a mani I've been thinking of for a few days. One of my favorite jewelry designers is Todd Reed. He's based out of Boulder, CO but has showrooms and retailers in many locations. He has this incredible style of blending the polished with the organic!

I've loved this cuff he created for some time, but for some reason when I saw it posted again this week it struck me differently and I was inspired to paint a manicure based on it. (Photo Cred: @toddreedjewelry on IG)

I had fun painting this mani and I'm very happy with how it turned out! I hope you like it too. I used all Cirque Colors: Never Nude, Helios, Miami-Dade and Memento Mori.

If you haven't heard of Todd Reed, I suggest you look his designs up this moment! 😋 I hope you have a great rest of the weekend!

  • Cirque | Lucy's Stash

Hello there! We've made it to Thursday! I woke up today thinking it was Friday because surely all the work I've done this week is enough for it to be Friday already. At least tomorrow I'll wake up and it really will be Friday!

I normally paint with color but I was in the mood for a nice pallet cleanser. I have a stamped mani to show you today with Cirque Colors' Modern Muse and a stamping image from a Bundle Monster/Nail Art Blogger collaboration plate. I LOVE this plate! All the designs are from Lucy's Stash.

Modern Muse is a soft, almost rose gold, pink holo. It's so perfect and as you can see from the sun shot, it has fabulous holo! I love stamping with black over light or neutral colors because I really like the contrast. This mani is no exception; I love the way this turned out.

I hope you enjoy this mani too! Happy tomorrow is Friday!

  • The Trouble With Valentines

Happy Friday my friends!! How was your week? I'm so glad it's the weekend. I loooove sleeping in so that's pretty much what I look forward to the most about the weekend. This week was a fun nail mail week! One of the deliveries was the sweet limited edition collection called The Trouble With Valentines. It's a collaboration trio between three indi polish brands, Serum No. 5, Lacquer Lust and Cirque Colors. Everything is wonderful about this collection, starting with the packaging!

First up, "Singles Awareness Day" by Serum No. 5. A deep berry holo that glows in the dark! Sadly I couldn't get it to glow...😕 But I'll keep trying! This is two coats plus my trusty Seche Vite top coat. Great application of this polish. It's my first polish from Serum No. 5 and it's very user-friendly.

Next is "Unloved Unicorn" from Lacquer Lust. This indie polish brand has mastered the creation of unicorns! It all started with a polish called Unicorn Porn and each season now reveals a new unicorn. This combo of glitters in the unicorn silver holo base has red, fuchsia and black hex glitters spread throughout. This is two coats with Seche Vite top coat.

Last but definitely not least...drumroll please... is "Karma Sutra" from my favorite polish creator, Cirque Colors. If you remember Cirque's Holiday 2015 collection, it included two polishes with silver flakes. One called Reflektor which was completely silver and the other, Halcyon was a rose gold version. This polish is a deep, red-wine-leaning-pink version and is the polish of the collection that I just had to have! It's my favorite, applies like butter 😋 and is soooo gorgeous; these pics don't do it justice. This is two coats over Cirque's Holdfast Base Coat and Seche Vite top coat.

So this is The Trouble With Valentines... What do you think?!? It's such a fun collection and even though the three polishes were created for the Valentine season they're wearable year-round, if you ask me.

Thanks for swinging by and I hope you enjoyed my showing off this collection. Happy weekend to you and see you soon!

  • Midwinter's Night

Hello! How are you today? I've missed having the time to post more often lately. I'm hoping to get back in the swing now, though. I hope all your holidays were joyful and restful and that your new year has started off well! Mine so far is good.

Saturday morning I woke up to a perfect blanket of snow over everything! You know the kind where the whole blanket is made up of perfect flakes and it all sparkles! I was inspired to paint a midwinter's night mani.

I loooove how this mani turned out! It shimmers and sparkles all over the place! ❄️✨ I mostly think to paint snowflake manis in December but there are still many snowflakes in January too.

I hope you have a wonderful day! See you soon...
