Stamped Mani
  • A England Snowflakes

Hey there! How are you? I've been so bad at posting here the last few months. Thanks for still swinging by now and then, though. How is your holiday season going so far? I've had a good month so far, decorating my house for my second Christmas in my home and staying warm now that Colorado Springs finally welcomed winter.

I've still been busy with nail art though! Here's a mani I painted and stamped with two A England polishes. A England was the first indie polish I heard of and I immediately fell in love with the gorgeous colors and flawless formula!

This snowflake image from Bundle Monster stamped perfectly with MoYou Londond's clear stamper. It's so exciting when the image transfers exactly how it was meant to!

  • MoYou London|Crystal Clear Stamper

Hello, there! I can't believe how long it's been since I posted. So sorry about that. I'm very grateful for work but I must say, it takes a lot of my energy so even when I paint my nails I tend to only post on Instagram since it's so quick.

Anyway, I hope you're well and are enjoying the beautiful autumn weather! I recently purchased another clear stampper, my third. This one is from MoYou London. It's called "Your Best Crystal Clear Stamp & Scraper" and I must say, the name is very accurate! Here's the first mani I used it for and I was so excited at how perfectly it picked up and transferred the images. It's also very large so it's very simple to see all the way through it when placing the image on your nail.

Ther you have it, friends! If you're looking for the best clear stamper yet, I highly recommend this one! It's available on the MoYou London site and they ship internationally.

I hope you have a wonderful day and I hope to see you again soon!

  • First of Steampunk

Happy Friday!! I had an intense week but it ended up well. I have a cool stamped mani to show you today. One of MoYou London's stamping plate collections is called Steampunk. This is my first Steampunk plate and I love the images on it! I chose a couple favorite polishes to create this mani.

I love the contrast of these two polishes together and I think they bring out the edges of this image perfectly! I also used my Cosette Clear Stamper to stamp this image super straight. I was having a bit of trouble with a few polishes transferring to the clear stampers but the A England holo transferred so well! I'll be stamping more soon, of course, so this is only the First of Steampunk!

I hope you have a great weekend!

  • More Festival

Hi! So... I haven't posted this often in a very long time! Something about the new Bundle Monster Festival Collection of stamping plates has me on a roll with ideas so I hope you don't mind seeing them all! πŸ˜„

I started this mani with the saranwrap technique using three Cirque Colors. As I mentioned in my last post after using Poli-Peel for the first time I thought I'd try applying it once per technique. So I did that with this mani and it worked super well!  It was a very easy clean up after this step!

Then...I had to stamp! I used another Festval image in black over the base design. I chose one that lets through the base so it could all work together. I used my new clear stamper to get the designs as straight as I could.

I hope you like this one! It was hard to take off the ombre arrows from the other day but I was just too excited to paint more of my ideas.

I hope you have a great evening and a good Tuesday ahead!

  • Bundle Monster Poli-Peel

Hello there! I love Saturdays! I just joined the club of peel off nail products that minimizes clean up after nail art. The first I saw is called Liquid Palisade. A few other companies have similar products and I decided to purchase Bundle Monster's version. I didn't buy any for a long time because I just don't mind the clean up after hombre or stamping or watermarble...but all of a sudden I just thought, why not?

I decided on an hombre stamped mani to utilize the Latex Poli-Peel Cuticle Skin Protector to the max. Here's my mani-cave work station during the process! πŸ˜‹

The Poli-Peel is designed to paint on around your nail so that after all the fun art you can just peel away the mess leaving your fingers clean. I found it very simple to apply but some may find it takes a bit more precision than the tutorials might make it look.

I was pretty excited to see how little I would need to use polish remover on the excess paint from the hombre process!

This image wouldn't have been too bad to clean up after stamping but I can think of plenty where the Poli-Peel-Peel would be sooooo great!

I was a bit surprised in the end, though when I peeled off the latex. The polish didn't really stick to it so for the most part, the latex peeled off out from under the polish... For my right hand as I peeled I grabbed the latex with tweezers closer to the fingernail which worked better but again, some of the videos make this process look flawless...when my first experience was not.

So here's the finished mani! I loooove how the subtle hombre and delicate image work together! I used three muted colors so the black image would stand out. I used another image from the newest Bundle Monster Festval Collection. I'm so excited about the limitless possibilities this collection's images offer! There will be more Festival manis to come!

In the end for my first mani with Poli-Peel I had a lot more clean up than I expected. I did learn some things about it though. Next time if I use more than one technique I plan on using the poli-peel twice; once per technique. It was just a lot to clean up all at once.

So, what do you think? Have you used a latex peel off product? I am super tempted to purchase a couple other versions to see how they compare. I'll let you know if I do.

I hope you have a great evening and a wonderful Palm Sunday! See you soon!

  • Organic

Hello! How have the first few days of extra light in the evenings been for you?! I always do a little dance when we get to Spring forward! I just love the extra light after work!

I ordered and just received the Festival Collection stamping plates from Bundle Monster. There are so many detailed and intricate designs in the collection, not to mention fun! I have lots of ideas for so many of the images!

    (Photo Cred: Bundle Monster, Instagram)

I started with a tribal design from the collection. The design itself isn't completely perfect so I decided to add more depth to it by using black and white for the stamping. It's actually the first time I've used more than one polish for stamping, if you can believe it.

I'm normally the one who needs everything just right, clean, crisp... But something about the way this turned out is also just right. The black and white random blending in this design created an organic look. I really love the result!

I hope you have a great evening! Thank you for taking a peek at my little corner of the nail art world... 😘

  • Cirque | Lucy's Stash

Hello there! We've made it to Thursday! I woke up today thinking it was Friday because surely all the work I've done this week is enough for it to be Friday already. At least tomorrow I'll wake up and it really will be Friday!

I normally paint with color but I was in the mood for a nice pallet cleanser. I have a stamped mani to show you today with Cirque Colors' Modern Muse and a stamping image from a Bundle Monster/Nail Art Blogger collaboration plate. I LOVE this plate! All the designs are from Lucy's Stash.

Modern Muse is a soft, almost rose gold, pink holo. It's so perfect and as you can see from the sun shot, it has fabulous holo! I love stamping with black over light or neutral colors because I really like the contrast. This mani is no exception; I love the way this turned out.

I hope you enjoy this mani too! Happy tomorrow is Friday!

  • Midwinter's Night

Hello! How are you today? I've missed having the time to post more often lately. I'm hoping to get back in the swing now, though. I hope all your holidays were joyful and restful and that your new year has started off well! Mine so far is good.

Saturday morning I woke up to a perfect blanket of snow over everything! You know the kind where the whole blanket is made up of perfect flakes and it all sparkles! I was inspired to paint a midwinter's night mani.

I loooove how this mani turned out! It shimmers and sparkles all over the place! β„οΈβœ¨ I mostly think to paint snowflake manis in December but there are still many snowflakes in January too.

I hope you have a wonderful day! See you soon...

  • Silver Poinsettias

Hello there...how are you this evening? I'm doing pretty well. I've decorated my house for my first Christmas in it, which I love! Here's my tree! πŸŽ„

And of course I still make time for nail art! Here's one I'm very happy with! I'm excited about how the detail came out so clear. I'm not entirely sure if this image was meant to be a specific flower but it looks a lot like little poinsettias to me.

I enjoy Christmas manis and I tend to try and create some that aren't so obviously festive. A little covert, perhaps... What do you think? Does this pass as a version of a holiday mani?

Thank you for stopping by! Blessings to you...

  • ILNP | Birds

Hello! How are you today? How has your week been? I've had a long work week so I'm looking forward to the weekend. I'm still doing a lot of work to my new (well 105 years old but new to me) house but trying to enjoy my mani-cave too and paint my nails! I ordered four shades from ILNP's summer collection and I have one of the fabulous scatter holos to show you today. I'm sure I've mentioned it before, but I'm a sucker for blue holos so naturally I couldn't resist this one! This is Honor Roll.

It's fabulous, ultra scatter holo blue! It sparkles just as you dream it ought to! I added some stamping, though, as I normally do so here's Honor Roll with birds taking flight!

I hope you like it! I really do... 😁 I hope you have a great evening and a wonderful Friday! As always, thank you for stopping by! Happy polishing!

  • Turquoise

Hi there. How are you today? Did you have a fun 4th of July? I can't believe it's July already. I feel like this year is flying by.

I came across this amazing mani that looked like the stone, turquoise, and I had to try to accomplish it myself. The original mani that inspired me was done with a water spotting technique that for the life of me I couldn't get to work. I'll keep trying but in the end I found a stamp that I used to accomplish a very similar look.

I am sooooo excited about how this turned out! I started with the Saran Wrap technique with three shades of turquoise to get the depth of color there then stamped over that. Free hand, I filled in some of the stamping with black and free hand again, I used a copper holo for accenting the black. It's so fun I can barely stand it! 😁

There are lots of tutorials online about the Saran Wrap and water spotting techniques so feel free to browse and see if you like the way others have created manis with them.

I hope you have a relaxing Sunday...I'm going to paint some more in my house (wearing gloves of course as to not ruin my mani) and then relax too. Thank you for stopping by!

  • Paisley

Hi, hi! Welcome to Wednesday! How is your week going? I'm having a great one! I took a few days off this week just for a well needed break and have spent time with my BFF who is in town. We went shopping for things for my new little house that I'll move into at the end of the month; so fun! I haven't taken much time to paint my nails but I did paint this one.

I've had this Picture Polish shade for a while and swatched it but hadn't used it for any art until now. I really like how this turned out! I added the turquoise sparkle on top to give it a little something extra. I need to remember this one because it would be doable in many colors! And I don't think you can ever go wrong with a paisley design.

I hope you have a great rest of the day! Halfway to the weekend!

  • PP | Nemesis

Hello, hello! Happy Saturday to you! How are you today? I'm very well after sleeping in and a relaxing morning. I'm also happy because of this amazing limited edition Picture Polish shade I bought this week. It's a brilliant berry scatter holo that leans toward the orange side of red. There are several shades in this limited edition collection but this one caught my eye and I'm glad it did!

As usual...I had to add a bit of art. I decided to use an A England holo to stamp with and the combo is so wonderful! Nemesis has the flawless formula we're accustomed to from Picture Polish and I used three light coats for complete opacity.

I hope you like it and I hope you have a wonderful rest of the day!

  • Stained Glass

Hi there, how are you today? I've had an interesting week with its ups and downs but I have tomorrow off for Good Friday so I'm relaxing this evening and looking forward to a long weekend.

I have a reverse stamped mani to show you today. I think this is the most time I've ever spent on a manicure but it was well worth it! I think it's also the longest I've worn a mani in quite some time. Normally I can't wait to paint my next idea but I've had to wear this one as long as I could.

Here is my stained glass mani with Enchanted Polish cubed!

What do you think? I'm so excited about how this turned out and it makes me want to paint more reverse stamped manis. I'll need to ponder my next idea.

I hope you have a wonderful evening! See you soon...

  • Patchwork

Hello, hello! How are you today? It's such a beautiful day today! I am naturally drawn to darker colors for manicures but with spring in the air it's fun to use brighter colors. I pulled out some polishes from the Cirque Heritage Collection for a reverse stamped mani. Here are a few pictures of my process.

My little work station and the stamped image after filling in the design.

This is one of my favorite manis in a while! Reverse stamping takes extra time so I only used the images on two fingernails on each hand. I like that it wasn't so overwhelming though. Just something a little extra.

I hope you're having a good week so far. Thank you lots for stopping by!

Hey there! How are you? I can't believe it's Monday again. I was out of the office really sick all last week 😞 but I'm thankfully on the mend now. I'm back on my nail game and have a great Cirque duo to show you today. Here are Tavern On The Teal and Cerrillos.

This mani is better than I'd hoped! I absolutely love how Cerrillos stamped and it's just the right amount of accent over the cream teal.

I hope you are having a good start to the week! Thank you for swinging by!

Oh Thursday... Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday! These last few weeks at work have definitely taken a toll on me. After my long days at the office, I so look forward to a relaxing evening painting my nails. So here is one of those manis I painted to unwind and enjoy the art of polish!

I love this peacock stamped design but I used it in a different way this time, switching up the colors.  This red holo is so gorgeous! It's a Colors by Llarowe shade called Vamp and is so dreamy! It lights up like crazy in the sun too!

I hope you're doing well and that you have a great Friday tomorrow! Thank you so much for swinging by.😊

Hello there! How are you today? It has been a very crazy week at work. I painted this manicure a couple days ago but just haven't had the time to post it. I used two blues, silver and black for this stamped and dotted design.

This was kind of an unplanned design. I just received new Pueen stamping plates this week so I was trying them out and this happened! I hope you have a great Sunday night and a good start to the week tomorrow.

  • Picture Polish Party

Hey there! How are you? I apologize for the lack of posts here lately... I've had long and challenging few weeks so Instagram was as much as I've had energy for. I'm having a restful and relaxing weekend though. I hope you are too!

I've had the gorgeous Picture polish collaboration shade, LakoDom, on my wish list for months but it's been out of stock. Last week is was back so I snatched a bottle of it and I'm sooooo glad I did! This is an amazing shade of white that leans gray and is sprinkled with silver scatter holo. It truly is "tenderness on your nails" and I'll for sure be using it a lot!

I ended up adding to LakoDom with a few other Picture Polishes and a Bundle Monster stamping image.

I hope you like the outcome of this unplanned mani as much as I do! You know, sometimes the unplanned manis turn out the best! Thanks so much for visiting, today. I hope you have a wonderful afternoon and see you again soon!

  • Stenciled Roses

Hey there! How are you? It's Friday again already...these last two weeks have flown by. I hope you had a great New Years celebration. My boyfriend and I went to one of our favorite places for dinner and then spent the rest of the evening at his place to watch the ball drop on TV. It was so nice and relaxing.

I have an unexpected mani to show you today. I don't normally go for the overly floral designs but there was something about this design that really drew me to it. It's a little more on the less obvious side so I decided to use the image over a gorgeous holo from Enchanted Polish.

I used the smallest point from the several dotting tools I have to fill in a few of the roses. I used another Enchanted Polish shade for the roses and I'm so excited about how this turned out. I just can't get over holo polishes...they're so fabulous!

I hope you have a good evening. Thanks for always stopping by. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my miniature art with you.

  • Oh Louboutin...

Happy weekend to you. How are you today? I have been a major introvert and didn't leave my place at all today. I do love people, but sometimes it's very refreshing to just chill out on my own. I was given such an amazing Christmas gift from my boyfriend and I just have to share it with you! How great is my man!?

I just LOVE this color! It's a simple, rich navy cream but there's something special about it. It's nearly a one-coater too, but I always paint two. The inkwell-type cap is so comfortable to use, though it's a little shorter than the Rouge cap. I'm sure the Rouge is it's own design since it's THE Louboutin color.

So, as usual, I couldn't leave it alone... I have a few pictures below of art I added to this beauty. These two pics show a taped stiletto design with a gunmetal shade (Zoya, Claudine) to mimick the bottle.

And here I added Enchanted Polish's To Die For glitter on my ring fingers, then stamped with Bundle Monster's plate 604, Essie's No place Like Chrome and Picture Polish's Pandora for the dot accents. You just can't go wrong with navy!

I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend! Thanks for hangin in there with my picture-heavy post today! 😁

  • Christmas!!

Merry Christmas to you!! I hope you are having a wonderful day! Mine is full going from one family member's house to another but a great day! I painted this mani for today and it's another swirly, stamped and dotted mani. Here 'tis! πŸŽ„

  • Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas Eve!! How are you today? What are you up to? Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions? Part of my family always goes to this old pizza place for dinner on Christmas Eve called Fargo's. I think it started a while back because after church we drove around trying to find a restaurant open, and it was the only one we found. So, now we go every year. Nothing too fancy but it's fun and yummy!

Well, on to the mani! I decided on using traditional Christmas colors for this one. It's different for me but I think it's pretty.

What do you think? I really like the result and it was simple stamping and dotting so that's nice too. I love that all of A England's holo polishes stamp so well! These two are the perfect Christmas combo too. Thank you for stopping by on this wonderful day! I hope it is wonderful for you and see you again soon!

  • Christmas Eve, Eve

Hello! Merry Christmas Eve, Eve!!πŸŽ„ My brother and I used to always say that growing up and we thought we were so clever. So now I always remember that. I think it was a way for us to extend the feeling of Christmas. I have a fun, festive, though not classically festive, mani to show you today. I'm so not normally a green person but this Tavern on the Teal is somethin' else!

I had the silver swirl image over the teal for an evening and it just felt like it was missing something so I added the dots later that night and it's just right!

So can you believe it's almost Christmas again?! I'm pretty excited. The month of December has had it's ups and downs for me over the years but this one is definitely up. I hope yours is too, though I do know it can be a challenging time of year for many.

I hope you have a wonderful day and see you soon!

  • Snowflakes

Hello! How are you? I'm doing good, though I got a flat tire today so that's frustrating... I can even see the screw that's in the tire. I guess I'll have to go straight to the tire shop in the morning... Well, something way more fun than car troubles is a new bottle of nail polish one of my besties gave me for my birthday! My first Marc Jacobs polish!😍 Here is Secret Love.

Secret Love is an amazing, vampy, deep plum! The formula is surprisingly thin for the dark pigmentation so I had to really control the polish. The second coat gave it a high shine all on its own. It was difficult to tell if it was drying at all because of its high gloss finish. I couldn't leave the polish alone, of course, so I thought I'd add some snowflakes...❄️❄️❄️

This is one of my blingiest manis ever and I hadn't planned on it being so. I thought it would be simple, then it just ran with a mind of its own. ☺️ I used two Bundle Monster images for this double stamped mani and I used both white and silver holo hoping to add depth to the look. I really love how this turned out! Very unexpected, but I love it!

I hope you have a great Friday! It's almost the weekend... Thank you for stopping by.

  • Festive Continues...

Hello! Can you believe Christmas is this week? It sure does seem to come around faster every year. It is fun to have such a great season to inspire nail art too! Here's a mixed method mani to continue the festivities using one of my favorite reds of all time.

I stamped on two fingers and glitter faded the rest. I really love how this one turned out. I think I'm drawn to less obvious festive manis, for lack of better explanation. So in my mind this fits into that category. I hope you like it! And, I hope you have a great rest of your day. I need to run a couple last minute Christmas errands then I'll be all set! See you soon!

  • Auntie Ems

Happy weekend everyone!! I've been absent for a bit...sorry about that. I've had a super busy couple of weeks and this week has been full of excitement because I'm officially an aunt! My brother and sister-in-law brought an incredible baby boy into the world yesterday! I have never been a baby person but oh-my-goodness am I head over heels! His name is Abdiel. It means "Servant of God" in Hebrew. So, I know this isn't a nails pic, but here I am holding Abdiel, a blessing to our family.

So, night before last, as I was hoping and waiting for news of Abdiel's arrival, I did the best thing I could think of...painted my nails, of course! So here's a special mani for an incredibly special occasion.

Well, there you have it! I hope you like this as much as I do! Even though the base color is called Midsummer Night, it really looks festive with the rose gold stamped design and glitter! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! I'm hoping to spend more time with my sweet nephew.

    Cirque - Holdfast base Coat

    Cirque - Midsummer Night

    Essie - Penny Talk

    Julep - Diamond Theory

  • Happy 1 Year Anniversay!!

Hello! How are you today? I am doing great! I am all about birthdays and anniversaries... Days that mark something special...and today marks one year of my nail art blog! Wow, that went fast! I have been inspired over the years by many nail polish-aholics, a.k.a. nail artists and I have been privileged to paint my art with much encouragement. Thank you for your encouragement too! Thank you for all the visits you've made to my corner of the world-wide-web to see what I imagine. I am grateful for you!

Here are just a few of my favorites over the last year. All of these have their own posts that you can find if you'd like. And there will be more to come!

For today's manicure, I chose a detailed stamping image and added a little something over top...

I used a couple newer polishes of mine, Concrete Jungle for the base and Bette for the bright blue dots. I like how neutral this manicure is. I wear a lot of black and gray and blue (even though red is my favorite color) so this goes with a lot. It's probably why I was drawn to this combo in the first place. ☺️

Thank you again for stopping by! Here's to the last year and more ahead! πŸŽ‰Welcome December and I hope you have a wonderful day!

    Supplies:

    Seche Clear - Base Coat

    Cirque - Concrete Jungle

Essie - No Place Like Chrome

    Picture Polish - Bette

  • Enchanted Picture Polish

Happy Saturday everyone! What are your weekend plans? I will of course paint my nails at least twice, but I also need to clean my place and run some errands... At least there's always nail polish! I have a simple combo to show you today between Picture Polish and Enchanted Polish.

I am really excited about how this turned out! The dusting of Enchanted Polish's blue glitter over the deep berry scatter holo gives it this glowing effect! I also used a few of the glitters, individually with a toothpick, to accent the stamped design so hopefully you can see those details. I hope you like this mani! And I hope you have a great day!

    Supplies:

    Seche Clear - Base Coat

    Picture Polish - Monroe

Enchanted Polish - To Die For

  • Llarowe Duo

Happy mid-week! How are you? I have a really fun duo to show you this evening. I have used two of my favorite Llarowe polishes for this nail art. I used Final Fantasy, the light gold-pink holo, and Dirty Diana, the berry holo. Llarowe creates amazing holo polishes in very unique shades. They all apply perfectly and many are almost opaque in one coat.

I painted two coats of Final Fantasy, tapped off the middle to paint the black. I re-tapped the edges of the black to paint a stripe of Dirty Diana. After all that, I chose a slim stamping design and stamped down the center. There were a lot of steps for this mani but I am so happy with the way it turned out! It was fun to combine taping and stamping.

I hope that you have a great evening and a good Thursday tomorrow. I hope to see you soon!

  • Some more Heritage...

Happy Thursday to you!! This week has gone by fast for me. I hope you're having a good week. I was perusing my polish collection and decided to use a few from the a Cirque Heritage collection. It's an incredible collection of holos. Even though these aren't the traditional fall colors, there's still something warm about them.

I used another Cirque holo to stamp with called Alter Ego. I'm pleased with how this turned out! I just love Cirque! I hope you have a great evening and a good Friday tomorrow. Thanks for swinging by!

  • Mani Monday...

Hey there, how are you today? I'm pretty good for a Monday. 😊 I'm feeling very introverted this evening so I don't have a lot to say...but I did paint a little late night mani. This is the first time I have stamped over a textured polish and I must say I'm super excited about how it turned out!

Well, there you have it. I hope you like it! In my mind it's hard to go wrong with zebra... I hope you have a great night and see you soon!

  • Blended Enchanted Polish

Hey there! How are you today? I hope you're doing well. It's a blustery day in Colorado Springs. It's been a beautiful fall so far though. I just love the dim lighting and the leaves changing colors... Here's a mani that you could say was inspired a bit by the season. I used three Enchanted Polish colors blended together. I just love all things holo!

I ended up thinking the blended look needed a little something else so I decided to stamp over it. I chose a stamping image that was quite delicate so that all the colors would still show through. This image is just right and I'm excited about the outcome of this mani! I hope you like it too!

Thank you for stopping by today! Have a wonderful afternoon.

  • ILNP Party

Hey there! Happy Sunday! I have a fun little ILNP party on my nails to show you today. I used four colors from ILNP and they all compliment each other so well.

I didn't really have a plan for this mani but I wanted to use this Bundle Monster image. I actually had red on first but when I stamped, the details of this image weren't very noticeable so I started over with the fabulous Iconic from ILNP. Once I was finished stamping, it just felt like something was missing so I gathered up a few other colors and a dotting tool and voila! I love the outcome!

I hope you're having a wonderful weekend and I hope to see you again soon.

  • Enchanted Polish | Vampires Suck

Happy Saturday everyone! I've not felt well this week so I apologize for the lack of posting. I purchased two Enchanted Polishes a couple weeks back and I have one of them to show you today. I searched online for all the swatches of this color before ordering and I thought it was more on the red side but it turns out to be very brown. I probably wouldn't have ordered it had I known, but I'm kinda glad I did because it got me out of my norm and it is really pretty. Here is Vampires Suck.

I added a stamping image from Bundle Monster's new Sunkissed Collection and it really turned out fun. Again, it's definitely out of my norm but it's good to get out of the box every now and then. :)

I hope you are having a lovely day, and I hope to see you soon! I have new Cirque colors arriving today so I'll be posting those as soon as I can. πŸ‘

  • For the Garden Party

Hey there, how are you today? I've had a great day! I got to paint nails at an outdoor market and it was so fun! It was the third outdoor market I painted manis at this summer but since this was in September I took all the colors of fall to paint fall inspired manis. I wanted to have my own mani in tip top shape for the occasion so here's how I dressed my nails.

This is the first time I tried reverse stamping and it worked really well! I'm super excited how this turned out and looking forward to future manis with this technique.

I hope you've had a great Saturday! I'm glad you stopped by.

  • Sunkissed with A England

Good evening to you! How are you? I'm doing good though I'm very sleepy... I had a good day which included a great couple hours of quiet, alone time at the Glen Eyrie Castle. Here's the view from where I enjoyed my time.

I also, of course have nail art to show you.πŸ˜ƒ Bundle Monster released a small collectection of plates recently called Sunkissed. It's a great set of 10 plates inspired by the sun and the ocean. I used one of their new disigns for this mani.

These pics make the base look black but this is a deep navy blue. I love using holo polishes to stamp with over creams and this mani is no exception. If you're a fan of stamping this Sunkissed Collection is a must have. It's full of literal ocean styles as well as designs like this one that don't necessarily scream ocean. It's a great collection.

Thank you for swinging by. I think I'll head to bed now...sweet dreamsπŸ’€

  • MoYou Rainbow Contest Part II

Hello there! Happy weekend to you! Here is part II of the MoYou London's 20k followers contest. This post has blue, purple and pink. It's been a while since I've painted my nails every night, it's mostly just every other night ;) so this was a fun way to use some polishes and stamping images I don't normally put together. Here we go!

    Friday: Blue

Hers is Zoya's Blu for the base and A England's Tristam (the king of everything blue) to stamp with. This is an image from the Suki 04 plate.

    Saturday: Purple

This is the lovely Imperial from Picture Polish stamped with Essie's Nothing Else Metals. I used a portion of the Suki 08 stamping plate for the birds.

    Sunday: Pink

I used two O.P.I pinks for an hombre base, Mod About You and Miami Beet. The black for the lace stamping image took over the pink more than I expected but I still love the result! This is an image from the MoYou Bridal plate 06.

Well, fellow polish-aholics, there you have it! I hope you've enjoyed watching the colors of the rainbow unfold into manicures as much as I enjoyed painting all of them. I hope you have a wonderful rest of your weekend and, as always, thank you so much for stopping by!

  • MoYou Rainbow Contest Part I

Hello, hello! How are you? I've been a bit absent lately...sorry about that. I've had more long days at work but I decided to participate in MoYou London's Rainbow Contest on Instagram. Each day has a differnt color for the theme and a MoYou London stamping plate must be used. Here's part one of my posts. It's been a fun challenge for sure!

    Monday: Red

I used Picture Polish's Scarlett and stamped with Sally Hansen's Rapid Dry Grease Lightening. This is an image from MoYou London's Explorer 03 plate.

    Tuesday: Orange

I chose Enchanted Polish's May 2014 for the base, Konad White for stamping, China Glaze Papaya Punch for the dots and the MoYou Sailor 03 plate for the image.

    Wednesday: Yellow

I wasn't so sure about the yellow day so I chose to layer A England's Morgan Le Fay over Julep's Catrina for a softer look. I used Konad White again to stamp an image from the Pro 07 stamping plate.

    Thursday: Green

I've collected a few green polishes over the past several months which is good because Enchanted Polish's March 2014 and A England's St. George are perfect together! I used an image from the Sailor 03 plate for this one.

I hope you like my manis inspired by the colors of the rainbow! I'll post part two this weekend! Two of my favorite colors, blue and purple, are up next! Which color is your favorite?

Have a great evening and I hope to see you soon! Thanks for stopping by!

  • Summer Wedding Guest

Good morning! How are you? Are you having a good weekend? I got to go to a wedding yesterday so of course I had to have the perfect outfit and my nails had to be just right! My dress was a bright  cobalt blue, I wore black peep-toe pumps and had gold and black jewelry so I thought this combo for my manicure would compliment everything perfectly!

So there ya have it! I loved the outcome! I felt like a famous person attending an event. My dress was from my favorite boutique here in Colorado Springs called Eve's Revolution. They have the best clothes! I hope you like my mani! And I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

Hi there! How are you today? So over the last three weather seasons I've painted a mani inspired by each season. This will be the fourth and final of this series and what season better to use for a finale than summer!

  • Dirty Diana

Hello there. I hope you're well today. I recently ordered another beautiful holo polish from Colors by Llarowe. I used it for the manicure in my last post but I couldn't get enough of it so I had to use it again.

It's an amazing shade that reminds me of a favorite color by Llarowe called Unorthodox Annie though this one is lighter and more raspberry. I have a comparison photo below. (Left to right: Unorthodox Annie, Dirty Diana)

Here's the beautiful Dirty Diana. It's so beautiful and has awesome holo affects.

I added a stamped design in a complimenting holo from the one and only A England. I know I'm partial but I really love the result!

I hope you have a great day! See you soon...

  • Final Fantasy

Hi there! How are you today? Have you had a good week? Mine has been pretty good...some long days at work but I'm making good progress on a couple big projects so that feels good. It's of course one of the best times of the day though, when I can paint my nails! I have an incredible holo polish to show you today from Collors by Llarowe. It's part of the Summer 2014 collection and it caught my eye the moment I saw it. Here is Final Fantasy.

I wore Final Fantasy by itself for a day and kept staring at it every chance I got! Its gunmetal gray based holo shifts to pale pink and pale green. I've never seen anything like it. I added a black stamped image over it and I love how it turned out. (It's actually one of my boyfriend's favorites.😊)

I highly recommend polish from Colors by Llarowe. They have amazing formulas and super creative colors. You can find them on the Llarowe site

I hope you have a wonderful evening and a great Friday tomorrow! Yay!!

  • ILNP | 1st and 15th

Hello to you on this beautiful Monday! I hope you had a great weekend. I recently ordered four polishes from I Love Nail Polish a.k.a. ILNP. They're retiring a lot of colors so there was a sale and I bought a few. Here's one I purchased called 1st and 15th. I don't normally go for greens but this one caught my eye.

This grassy green holo with a drop of turquoise applied perfectly over my normal base coat. I used two coats, then a top coat before stamping and then applied another top coat. It's a great summer color for sure! I'm glad I purchased it. ILNP will be coming out with new polishes soon. Be sure to visit their site and sign up for email notifications. Stay tuned for posts on the other retired shades I chose.

I hope you have a great day!

    ILNP - 1st and 15th

  • Double Stamped Vanilla Sky

Mornin' sunshine! Well, there's not actually sun this morning in Colorado Springs, but it's still a beautiful day so far. I hope your week is off to a good start!

I have a mani to show you today that I stamped twice for. I really love the depth it gave.

I started with a pale yellow that has slight shimmer to it. This color from Lacquer Lust, called Vanilla Sky, actually dries matte on its own but I ended up clear coating it for my stamping.

I only have three bottles of Laquer Lust but all three apply like a dream and are such amazing colors. I encourage you to check them out if you haven't already.

I hope you have a great Tuesday!

    Supplies:

    Lacquer Lust - Vanilla Sky

A England - Lady of the Lake

    A England - St. George

  • Mega Midnite Meteor

Hey there! Happy Wednesday! I went to an incredibly fantastic show last night, The Budos Band, so I'm pretty sleepy today but it was worth it.

I have a fun mani to show you today. I started with a holo hombre and then stamped over it too.

I chose a design to stamp with that allowed the hombre and fabulous holo polishes to still show through and I am super excited about how it turned out! I must say that ILNP and Picture Polish have such stunning colors and impeccable formulas.

I hope you have a great evening and I hope to see you soon!

    Supplies:

    ILNP - Mega

    Picture Polish - Midnite Meteor

    Bundle Monster Plate - 208

Seche Vite - Dry Fast Top Coat

  • Chevron

Hey there! How was your Fourth of July? Mine was so nice and relaxing. I painted my friend's nails and then went to a BBQ at my mom's. Super laid back, which is my favorite. Here is a mani I painted to go with an outfit for a wedding last weekend. I really, love how the colors combined.

I started of course with my two coats for the base colors and then stamped over those. I also actually always paint a coat of Seche Vite over my base colors before stamping. It helps the base dry faster but I also think it helps the stamped image apply better. I'm not sure how many gals do that when they stamp but I've always found it helpful.

I hope you have a great rest of the weekend!

    Supplies:

    Seche Clear - Base Coat

    Essie - Cashmere Bathrobe

    Essie - Naughty Nautical

    A England - Rosebower

  • Princess Sabra

Hi there, how are you today? I have a great day ahead of me! Part of it will be a pre-order for some super special polishes that I'll hopefully succeed in ordering but today will also be spent with loved ones. I love Sundays with family and friends.

I have a classic polish to show you today from A England called Princess Sabra. It's a gold holo polish with an olive tint to it. It's part of Adina's second collection called The Legend and it never disappoints.

I recently ordered one of the new Mother Nature stamping plates from MoYou London so I decided to add a couple accents to Princess Sabra from the new plate. I really like how this turned out. It's simple, it speaks for itself and it's classic. As always with Adina's fine polishes, Princess Sabra applies like butter and is almost completely opac with one coat but this is two. If you're interested in A England polishes, check her international stockits page to see where you can order them close to home.

I hope you have a wonderful afternoon!

    Supplies:

    Seche Clear - Basae Coat

    A England - Princess Sabra

    Konad - Black

  • Ultra-chrome Holo

Happy FRIDAY!!! Weekends are so lovely! And speaking of lovely, I have two lovely polishes from ILNP (I Love Nail Polish) to show you this evening. They're not just any polishes either...these are ultra-chrome holos to die for!

The first I have to show you is called Undenied (H) and it has so many color shifts to it! The description from ILNP says "With effortless shifts through stunning hues of violet, red, and gold (depending on the angle of your fingertips and the type of lighting you’re under), Undenied (H) is sure to wow you when you least expect it!" I agree completely! You'll see the violet in the photos of mine but I promise it has everything described and more.

The second is Cygnus Loop (H) and photographed more indigo for me but again has incredible color shifting depth and tons of holographic sparkle. ILNP describes this polish "Depending on the light and angle of your lovely fingertips, Cygnus Loop (H) will shuffle through a bright purple, to orange, to yellow, and even a little bit of green. On top of that, it will sparkle like it's been hit with diamonds!" Need I say more?...

So...what do you think? If you don't own any ILNP shades... you must try them out. The formula for these jewels was perfect and I was able to achieve opacity in three thin coats (the thin coats also help with eliminating brush stroke marks). I just couldn't stop staring at my nails when I had these colors on. :)

Here's to a great Friday night, whatever you're up to. Thank you for swinging by!

  • It's Friday!

Happy Friday everyone! That's literally just about all I have the energy to say right now. I'm looking forward to a restful weekend. And now on to the manicure!

I really love using holo polishes especially for stamping and these two compliment each other really well with similar hues in them. I hope you like it and that you have a great evening!

    Supplies:

    Seche Clear - Base Coat

Above The Curve - Fallen Angel

    A England - Encore Margot

    Bundle Monster Plate - 422

Seche Vite - Dry Fast Top Coat

  • Water

Hey there, how are you this week? I'm getting through it but haven't been as motivated to paint my nails as I usually am. Here's a fun stamped mani though that in the end turned out looking a lot like water. :)

I tried to chose an open stamping design to let the sparkles from Geode show through but they ended up being a bit hidden. I still like the outcome though. Seems to have more depth than if I'd only used a solid cream base.

I hope you have a great Thursday and I hope to have more art to show you very soon.

    Supplies:

Picture Polish - Revolution Glitter Base

    Picture Polish - Geode

    Sally Hansen - Brisk Blue

MoYou London Sailor Plate - 03

Seche Vite - Dry Fast Top Coat

  • Monkey See, Monkey Do

Hey there! I've been quite the polisher these last few days...probably because three orders arrived in the last week or so and I just had to try all the polishes as soon as possible. :) Here is an electric blue from Llarowe called Monkey See, Monkey Do. I thought it would be a bit more of an icy blue when I ordered it but no complaints; it's beautiful!

Monkey See, Monkey Do is an amazing holo polish but also has more dimension from super fine holo glitters. It's definitely unlike any holo I own and I'm super excited it caught my eye online to purchase. I essentially used two coats but for some reason it was balding near my cuticles a bit on a few nails so I was able to add a light third coat where necessary and everything evened out perfectly with my trusty top coat. I used a Pueen stamping plate for the art, one that has an infinity design so each nail is a little different.

I hope you're still having a great weekend and I'm so glad you stopped by today. See you soon!

    Supplies:

    Seche Clear - Base Coat

Llarowe - Monkey See, Monkey Do

    Konad - Black

    Pueen Stamping Plate - 59

Seche Vite - Dry Fast Top Coat

  • Fashionably Late with Suki

Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you had a great week. I received a couple nail mail packages over the last couple weeks and here is the second of the two Lacquer Lust polishes I bought. This is a collaboration shade called Fashionably Late between Laquer Lust and Fashion Polish who are actually sisters which is super fun!

I ended up stamping over Fashionaly Late with an Essie polish. I really love the images but I didn't expect them to cover as much of the base as they did. I'll have to wear Fashionably Late on its own again soon. I started with two coats of my base but depending on the thickness of how you tend to apply polish you may need three. It's an awesom blue jelly polish with small purple shimmers and purple flakies. It's really pretty! Overall with the two Lacquer Lust polishes I purchased, I'm very pleased. I'll definitely be checking the site for new collections in the future.

I hope you have a great evening!

    Supplies:

    Seche Clear - Base Coat

    Lacquer Lust - Fashionably Late

    Essie - Nothing Else Metals

  • Steam Punk

Hello, hello! How are you today? I'm pretty worn out from a long, but good week. I hope you're doing well this week too. Here's a simple, somewhat neutral stamped mani that reminds me of the steam punk style. Super cool stamp!

I used two coats of my base, Master Plan, and stamped over it with a Sally Hansen rapid-dry polish. They work really well for stamping. I hope you like it!

    Supplies:

    Essie - Master Plan

    Sally Hansen - Grease Ligtening

    Bundle Monster Plate - 415

Seche Vite - Dry Fast Top Coat

  • Spattered Stamping

Hello! How are you today? I hope your week is off to a good start. I'm trying to keep cool about my week...it's crazy busy at work which will be pretty draining for an introvert like myself. Oh well, I'll get as much done as I can and look forward to the evenings when I can relax and paint my nails!

Here is a double stamped nail art look that I'm so excited about! It was a bit experimental since I have only double stamped once before but the result is really cool!

I started with two coats of the fabulous Powwow from Cirque's newest collection and then added my trusty quick dry top coat. I stamped the splattered image with black and then repeated the stamping process with another incredible Cirque color. I specifically chose the second stamping color to be a bit on the transparent side so that it didn't completely cover the black. So fun!

Have a great day and I hope to see you again soon!

  • Panacea

Happy Sunday! I love sleeping in on the weekends, the birds chirping outside and the sun light brightening my bedroom to gently wake me up...sigh... :) I hope you're weekend has been relaxing too. I have another Cirque color to show you today. It's called Panacea and it a beautiful bright green holo. This is definitely not a color I'm normally drawn to but when purchasing the Heritage collection, I decided to include it to stretch my norm a bit.

I started with two easy coats of Panacea and then chose a silver chrome polish to stamp a simple image over it. I wanted the base to show through the majority of the image. I can't say enough how much I love Cirque polishes!

Thank you for swinging by today!

    Seche Clear - Base Coat

    Cirque - Panacea

  • More Heritage

Happy weekend! How are you? I have another gorgeous polish from Cirque's new Heritage collection  called Cerrillos. I think it's my favorite of the collection or else a tie with Sky Woman. Here's Cerrillos.

I started with two coats of Cerrillos, used an A England favorite to stamp and then dotted another Cirque Heritage polish over the top for an eye catching edge. I hope you like it and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your weekend.

  • Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to you! How do you celebrate today? I went to church and spent time with family and later I'll be with family again. It's been a great day! I've had this spring manicure on my mind for quite some time. I painted a fall and winter scene like this so now it's time for spring. The buds are finally braving our still somewhat snowy weather so I decided today was the day to break out this mani!

I used eight polishes, a fine art brush, dotting tools and a stamp to create the design. It was really fun! I hope you like it too and I hope you have a wonderful afternoon! See you soon!

  • More Cirque Fabulousness!

Happy Saturday! I hope you're having a good day so far. I thought I'd swatch all the new Cirque colors today but I couldn't help just diving in and creating more nail art with them so instead, here is another mani with the remaining two colors from the new Heritage collection I didn't use in my last mani.

I started with an hombre mani using the two Cirque colors and I love how well they blend! They created a slight hombre and an almost sunset-like feel. I stamped a delicate design over them in a silvery-purple chrome polish so that the hombre would still show through and I love the outcome!

Thank you for taking a peek into my world of polish! I hope you have a wonderful day.

  • Get to the point...

Hello, hello again! Here we are, Thursday. I'm actually pretty excited because I have a four-day weekend so technically, this was my Friday at work! :) I'll be heading out for a date with my wonderful man soon but I wanted to post this for all to see more of the brilliance of A England.

I've had these three colors for a while and have used them often but never together. I stamped the lightening bolts and taped off the points for the other nails. That look was inspired by an all time favorite, Pshiiit Polish. She's always inspiring.

I hope you like it! And have a great night.

  • Enchanted March & April

Hey there! How are you today? I have two new polishes to show you so get ready for lots of pics! These Enchanted Polishes are difficult to come by so these two are only my second and third bottles. This whole calendar year they're releasing a mystery bottle each month that you can pre-order in only a 30 minute timeframe. They released March and April the same day and they just arrived. Let's take a look!

I wasn't surprised to see that March 2014 turned out to be green but I was surprised at how much I love it! I'm rarely drawn to green but almost anything that's a holo polish will win me over and this one certainly did. I used two coats then stamped a fun new Pueen image over it for kicks. I can't describe how beautiful this shade is. It complete dazzles!

While March 2014's mystery color didn't surprise me, April 2014 did. It's a pleasant surprise to be sure. This is a muted periwinkle cream with just the right amount of holo magic in it. It applies thicker in formula than March 2014 because of its cream base but still a lovely two-coater and just fantastic! I also stamped a new Pueen image over it. Wonderful!

I hope you like these two manis. I of course plan on ordering all of the 2014 mystery polishes (though I'm super disappointed because I missed January😞) so stay tuned for more enchantment!

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

  • Crossover

Hey there, how has your week started off? Weekends go too fast but my day was good. I have a pic-heavy post tonight. I couldn't help it. :) Hope you enjoy...

I'm so excited about how this turned out! I haven't used this China Glaze top coat in ages but it's the perfect touch. I think it's a nice crossover mani too from winter to spring. It's tough to want to wear super springy colors when there's still snow on the ground here.

I hope you have a great evening and hopefully see you soon!

  • Forever A England

Hello, hello! How is your week going? I'm having a super busy week at work but I should be used to it... :) Today has been such a beautiful day here in Colorado Springs and the quintessential picture of springtime in the Rockies! Here are the trees in front of my house this morning.

I'll forever love A England so I have an A England "times 3" mani today, starting with one of my favorite cream polishes of all time: Galahad.

I haven't ever stamped over stamping before but the transparency of these holo polishes complimented each other so well. You can never go wrong with Adina's fabulous creations!

I hope you have a great Friday and thank you, as always, for stopping by!

  • Fashion Inspired

Hey, how are you today? It has been a beautiful day and I've had the chance to relax and be inspired for nail art by a dress made by the designer Mary Katrantzou. It has amazing jewel tones and incredible texture.

I started with two coats of white and sponged all the other layers over it and topped it off with stamping. I really, really like how it turned out! There's a lot of depth to it and it's all O.P.I. (except for the Konad white for stamping) which is fun.

I hope you have a great rest of the weekend and thanks for stopping by!

  • White, Yellow, Rose

Good morning! Well, at least there's about 20 more minutes to the morning where I am. :) I'm being pretty lazy today and as much as the calendar says it's spring, it's not even 30 degrees here in Colorado Springs and snow covered the city last night. So, I'm tucked away in my little place painting my nails...bummer. ;) Here's a mani inspired by a new O.P.I. glitter that has shreds of white gold, yellow gold and rose gold in it. Sooooo pretty!

I used one of my new MoYou London stamping plates for the three stamped nails; one in each tone from the glitter. I love this glitter and I think it'll look great over a lot of colors. The shredded shapes really give it a unique look and a bit of an edge.

I hope you have a great Sunday afternoon and hopefully see you soon!

  • Music Box

Hello there and welcome to the weekend! I just love Saturdays! I have a new brand (for me) to show you today and it's called I Love Nail Polish. I first saw this brand quite some time ago on one of my very favorite blogs, Phsiiit, and finally ordered two last week so here is one from their new spring line called, Music Box.

I really like this brand and was super impressed with the formula and the brush which is a bit flatter than I expected but helps application to be flawless and the formula level out. This is three lighter coats and of course some delicate stamping as to not completely cover the amazing color!

I hope you like it! And I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  • Enchanted

Hello and happy Thursday to you! How has your week been? I have an amazing polish to show you today. It's my first Enchanted Polish! I've drooled over swatches of Enchanted Polish on my favorite blogs since the beginning but it's been near impossible to get my hands on it. Seems like it's out of stock everywhere, all the time. Well, I was able to order the mystery February 2014 polish and it just arrived so here it is!

The February 2014 is a rich, berry holo that is just flawless. It has a perfect formula and in the sun, it takes your breath away. I added art to it since it's super tough for me to wear a polish by itself so I decided to add my favorites: A England and Cirque!

I hope you have a great Friday and hope to see you soon!

  • Make a wish...

Happy, happy Friday! I don't know about you but I am beat! I'm so grateful it's the weekend. I've had a lot going on at work and unfortunately I've also had a bit of a slump with manicures. :( I don't know why but a handful of manis have not turned out well enough to post so, sorry about my short absence. Here's a fresh little mani, though, using brand new MoYou London stamping plates.

I absolutely LOVE the MoYou images. It was tough to only order a few. But I narrowed it down and look forward to all the fun stamped manis to come with them. I do have to say that the images are etched deeper than Bundle Monster's images so you don't have to clean the plate between every use as I normally do with Bundle Monster. With that said, though the deeper image holds more paint so I noticed that when I would place the stamper on the image to transfer it, some of the paint ended up escaping the recessed image and spoiling the transferred image. I got the hang of it, but I thought it was worth the mention as pre-thought use. :)

I hope you have a weekend ahead that is tailored to your liking. I am going to rest, read, and of course...paint my nails!

  • Loving A-England

I just can't get enough of A England! I was introduced to Adina's polishes a couple years ago through one of the best nail artis blogs, The Polished Perfectionist, and I knew I would be a fan for life. The mani I have to show you today is painted with two of A England's polishes from two earlier collections: The Mythicals and The Legend.

I started as I normally do with two coats of my base (Princess Sabra) then used a stamping design over it. I love using two holo polishes for a stamped manicure. The way the design stands out but is softer somehow due to the holographic formulas gives such a unique look.

I hope you like this mani as much as I do. And I hope you have a wonderful day! Thanks for swinging by!

  • Tibetan Nights

Hi there! Yay, we're past the middle of the week already! My last couple days have been quite long with a lot going on at work. How has your week been so far? Thankfully, there's always nail polish to help me chill out. Here is the very first Cirque Polish I bought a couple years ago and one of my all time favorite polishes.

This Polish is a fabulous jelly-cobalt with super fine silver glitter in bars and hexagonal shapes. This is two coats with a Bundle Monster stamping image on just a couple nails. I love it and have actually had it on my nails now for three days which nearly never happens for me. :)

I hope you have a fabulous Thursday and I'll see you soon!

  • A Delicate Duo

Hi, how has your weekend been? We're starting the process of getting to spring here in Colorado which means 60 degree days, then 20 degrees and snowing. Today is the latter but I think this mani is fitting because the kind of snow is so delicate and has lightly coated every twig on every branch. This manicure is nothing in comparison to nature, of course, but it too is quite delicate.

I started with two coats of the super fabulous new Midnite Meteor from Picture Polish. It's almost a one-coater but I always paint two to be sure the full richness of the polish shows. It is full of iridescence in silver, blue and even some purple. It may be taking over the polish Hope as my favorite Picture Polish shade... I then decided to stamp over it with a delicate design and I just love the outcome with both polishes being so sparkly in their own ways.

Do you have any Picture Polish or A England polish?

Happy Wednesday! I hope you're doing well. I was recently introduced to Chloe + Isabel jewelry by my friend, Tracy. I was immediately impressed by the creativity, design and quality of the pieces. I’m pretty much a Chloe all the way but I know that c+i has something for everyone. The spring collections have inspired a few of my latest manicures so I thought I'd show you.

  • February Nail Art Cahllenge - 23

Happy weekend to you! How is your weekend going? I've had a great one so far shopping with my man, going to family dinner, being lazy and of course...painting my nails! Today's February Nail Art Challenge theme is "animal". Here's what I decided to paint. :)

So what do you think? I'm pretty excited about how this turned out. I must say though that great polishes have so much to do with great nail art. If you have yet to check out Cirque or A England, I highly recommend you do. Only two more nail art themes for this month so see you soon!

  • February Nail Art Challenge - 20

Welcome to Thursday! I hope you are well and that your life is full of great things. :) Today is another post of nail art for the February Nail Art Challenge with the theme: Floral. Now, much like the girly, Valentine manis I'm not much of a flowery girl either but I branched out once again and ended up using a stamping image I most likely never would have if not for the theme. And I like!

I started with two coats of the Orly purple. I love this color with all its fabulous flakies mixed throughout. They catch the light and bling in the best way. Orly really is a great polish; I only have about 5 of their polishes but all of them apply like a dream and are unique.

I hope you have a great day... Tomorrow is Friday, after all. :)

  • February Nail Art Challenge - 09

Happy Sunday! Today is the fourth day for the challenge with the theme: Hearts. As I mentioned before about the manicures that are too girly... I'm not normally drawn to them but I guess I've found a way to put my own spin on them and I like that this February challenge has helped me think outside my norm.

These are both polishes from my February Julep Maven box. The glitter was a gift to all the Julep Mavens this month, called Love, and is really pretty in person. It seems to be all glitter but it's such a full coverage, shimmer glitter that this is only two coats. I hope you like my version of a hearts mani!

  • February Nail Art Challenge - 07

Hi there! Today is is the third theme for the February Nail Art Challenge: XOXO. I know that pinks and reds are more traditional Valentine colors but I chose purple and white today for this theme.

I wanted it a bit different too so I only stamped two nails and then used a glitter I made myself to fade the other nails. I then used a matte top coat to soften everything. I like it a lot, actually. I'm normally not drawn to the too girly manicures but this one turned out fun.  The next theme will be in a couple days so stay tuned!  Thank you for stopping by!

  • Clouds

Happy mid-week! I've had a silly cold this week and even missed work (which I really don't like) but  nail Polish always makes me happy so I do have a post for you that's outside the nail challenge.

These polishes are both A England.  The base is two coats of one of the polishes from the Gothic Beauties collection. It's one of the prettiest deep, almost black, blues I've seen and applies like a dream. I hope you like the mid-week, mid-winter mani for today. I hope you stay healthy and have a great day!

  • Can't Get Enough

Happy weekend! I've had a wonderful Saturday, I hope you have too! So, I petty much can't get enough of A England polishes. These are two from different collections but compliment each other perfectly.

I started with two coats of Tristam and then stamped one Bundle Monster image on my ring fingers and another on the rest. The holo polishes go so well with each other and are super sparkly in the sun. Dancing With Nureyev is an amazing polish though a bit thinner in consistency to stamp with.

I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

  • Take Two

Hello my friends and fellow polish-a-holics. :) So this is "take two" for the evening. The first mani idea didn't turn out how I'd hoped but I do like this one. The colors aren't anything new, but what I love about it is the scatter holo black with the fine holo polish I used to stamp. I'm excited to see it in the sun.

It's a fun design that I hadn't used before. I hope your week is off to a good start. See you soon!

  • So...this took a while...

Happy Sunday everyone. I hope you're having a good weekend. Just for a change of pace, I thought I'd paint my nails. ;) So my idea ended up taking nearly forever but, I am happy with the outcome!

I started with two coats of the lovely Cirque Baptisia, stamped over that then fished out individual glitters from another Cirque polish, XX, to add to the design. Yeah, it was definitely time consuming but so fun! :) Have a fun afternoon full of whatever you hope for! Take care and hopefully see you soon!

  • Modern Houndstooth

Good evening! I hope you had a good Monday. It's another cold day here...maybe about 20 degrees. Hopefully tomorrow will be a bit warmer. I broke out the stamping plates again today and used a classic design in a modern way.

I always start with two coats of the base color and then add images over that. I've used houndstooth only one other time but I should use it more. It is so classic!

  • Cool Stamping

Happy day two of 2014! :) Unfortunately the mani from yesterday was already chipping on me... That never happens in one day for me but it did so I needed to redo my nails and decided to go with one of my very favorite classic Essie polishes to stamp over.

I make such a mess stamping with black...I tell ya. I use up so many q-tips and toothpicks soaked in polish remover... :) I think it turned out quite nice though! This image was great to work with too! I hope you have a good evening and a great Friday!

  • 2014

Hello and welcome to the new year! I have a tried and true favorite of mine to show you today from O.P.I. I really tried to capture the true color of this Designer Series shade but it kept coming up more brown than the deep plum it is in natural light. If you have the chance to pick this shade up, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

After applying two coats of the DS Mystery I stamped with a chrome Essie polish and then fished out a few purple glitters from a new Essie Luxe Effects glitter top coat for little accents. I hope you like it!

  • One For One

My very favorite shoe company, well movement rather, is TOMS. I may be a little passionate seeing as I have two pairs of sunglasses and 22 pairs of TOMS shoes...but I truly love the cause! So, because TOMS and nail polish are passions of mine, I happen to be inspired by new pairs of shoes I get for manicure ideas!

I LOVE how this turned out! I'm going to have to wear these ballet flats while I have this mani! So fun. If you're new to TOMS in any way, I encourage you to check them out. I have painted two other TOMS inspired manicures so I've put those photos below too. I hope you like this as much as I do! Have a great evening!

  • Double Rose

Hello there! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas. I had a very nice one with my closest family. As much as I enjoy the festive manis of the season I wanted to paint something a little different. I used two polishes from A England both with "Rose" in their names. A England holo polishes are so amazing and also perfect for stamping!

I think these two roses make a perfect pair! Her Rose Adagio is from A England's newest line inspired by Margot Fonteyn, one of the greatest ballerinas of all time. Briar Rose is from A England's last collection inspired from Burne-Jones "Dream" painting of Sleeping Beauty and they are both just fabulous! Impeccable formula and the holo affect is so delicate yet makes such a statement; especially in the sun!

  • Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!! I can't believe how quickly each year passes. I'm not sure what you have going on today but I'll be fairly busy. Christmas can be an interesting day for many people and often times mine has been that way but I'm looking forward to this year. It will be fun to have this matte mani for my festivities though!

I'm so pleased with this being matte! It softens the whole look and actually I think it sharpens the image I stamped.

I hope you have an amazing Christmas whatever the day brings you. Whether your day is a packed schedule or you get to relax; whether you're with lots of people or get to have down time on your own, I hope your day is blessed and just what you need. Merry Christmas!!

  • Merry Christmas Eve!

Merry, merry Christmas Eve!! I hope you've had a wonderful Christmas Eve so far today. I had a wonderful, relaxing day with family and friends. That's the best part of this season for me; spending time with people closest to me. Here's what I spent a little of my time on today. :)

I used one of my top five favorite colors of all time for the base and it's actually a bit more gray in person but it's a classic O.P.I. and goes with everything. I stamped a couple accent nails and then faded an amazing multi-colored, multi-shaped, multi-sized glitter for just a twinkle here and there. I hope you enjoy it! Thank you for swinging by my little corner of the web. :)

  • Soft Shimmer

Hello to you! I can't believe there are only 3 days until Christmas! I don't know where the time goes...well, a lot of my time goes into nail art! ;)

I used the amazing A England again for this mani though I did use one coat of it over a creamy-white O.P.I. shade. I really love the subtle stamped image this created by basically using three shades of white.

I hope you get all your Christmas shopping done this weekend and that you enjoy it as you do. I try to check out the people's name tags in the shops and randomly use their name as I ask them how their day is going. It's cool to see them light up a bit. All the retail workers work so hard this time of year; I'm sure it's nice to hear their own name every now and then. :)

  • A-Mazing A-England

Hello! I hope your week is going well! I've been off a day all week since I took Monday off for my birthday but it's still been a good week. I have several photos to show you because A England recently released a ballerina collection and A England NEVER disappoints. :)

I love, love, love these polishes and this new line has an amazing, delicate edge to it yet stays classic. In the light this is very periwinkle and reflects purple along with the blue in it's pearlescence. It's just stunning. I added a delicate stamp to it  but to be honest, halfway through stamping all the images I almost started over and left the polish alone because it's so stunning on its own. It applies like a dream and like other A England polishes is nearly a one-coater. It allows incredible control and levels out on its own leaving zero brush strokes behind. I can't say enough positive things about this and other polishes from this creator.

I hope you have a great day and rest of the week!

  • Inspired by Winter

Happy Birthday to me!!! :) Yes, I'm a December baby and have overall enjoyed being one. My parents were always good about separating my birthday from Christmas and I always had lots of pretty decorations up on my day so it's been good!

I decided that this special day needed a special manicure too so I took the "Inspired By Autumn" mani through to winter. Here's the winter scene.

I'm very excited about how this turned out!! I used several polishes, stamping, sponging and a dotting tool to get the look. Quite the mixed media mani. :) I hope you enjoy the winter scene and that your December 16th is as great as I plan on mine being! Thanks so much for stopping by today.

  • I'm Happy!

Wow! I can't describe how happy A England polishes make me!!

I always use two coats but St. George is practically a one-coater and has blue-teal tones to it in natural light. The application is just flawless with tons of control. Both of these shades have fabulous slight holo to them as many of the A England polishes do. They're just perfect and a bonus is that they stamp really well too!

I hope you are having a good start to your week!

  • Bling

Hello! Oh how I love Saturdays! Here is a stamped mani that has "bling" in a different way. :)

I decided to reverse the accent nail to be the one without the stamp. I love the colors of the glitter in this Butter London polish. It has tiny deep cobalt and kelly green hexagonal glitter in a deep blue jelly base. I used two coats and it applies pretty well. The first coat was perfect, though it already began to thicken on the second coat but it's very manageable. It dries quite satin in finish and not as smooth as I prefer so I used two coats of top coat to help with that.

I hope you have some great Saturday plans!

Picture Polish - Revolution Glitter Base

    Butter London - Inky Six

    Essie - Blue Rhapsody

  • Happy December!

Happy December and welcome to mani-ac.com, officially! I chose one of my all-time favorite polishes called Hope by the fabulous Picture Polish. Even though it's been bright and sunny this past week I thought snowflakes would be just right to launch December! :)

I haven't used this combination of polishes yet but I really like it! Hope by Picture Polish applies opaque in two coats allowing the amazing scatter holo and blue hexagonal glitters shine through! The Essie chrome collection from last year stamps really well for me too. I used two stamping plates so that I alternated some of the images. I hope you have a great first day of December wherever you are today. Thank you for stopping by!

    Seche Clear - Base Coat

    Picture Polish - Hope

  • Geometric Stamping

Hey there! So I really loved my Liquid Sand hombre from yesterday but I must say that I should probably use the darker color reversed near the cuticle because just from today the dark tips were wearing off. Oh well, an excuse to paint again! ;)

This evening I had a different plan but I ended up stamping and taping. I even painted two little studs to change things up a bit.

I LOVE this color, Diamond Weapon, from the latest Rainbow Honey collection: The Final Battle. It applies easily in two coats and is so versatile!

After the fabulous base of Diamond Weapon, I started to stamp. BTW, does anyone else make a big mess like I do stamping? Ha! The Konad special stamping polish in Black needs the most clean up for me...

I think I like the outcome even though the accent nail isn't quite what I planned. I love the Bundle Monster image though! It reminds me of detail Donatella Versace used a couple summers ago in her collection.

So this one will most likely stay on a bit but we'll see. Thanksgiving may need its own mani. Until next time, be well! :)

I was inspired by the beautiful season for this nail art. I used a combination of polishes with the stamping technique on my middle and ring fingers then added dots to create "leaves" with dotting tools.

  • Perfect Royalty

I had a lazy Sunday and of course painted my nails! This is a new collaboration shade from Picture Polish.  It's absolutely amazing!

In the end, as I often do, I added some extras to Imperial. I thought one stamped accent nail would be just right then I faded glitter on the rest. Please know though, that Imperial stands alone with splendor. It's a near electric purple with hughes of deep blue pearlescence among the gold hexagonal glitters and it applies like a dream. I used two coats. The glitter appeared more rose in color to me which may be because of the layers so I chose Traffic Stopper Coper and Penny Talk to accent the glitters.

Thanks for stopping by. I hope you have a lovely evening!
