  • Silver Poinsettias

Hello there...how are you this evening? I'm doing pretty well. I've decorated my house for my first Christmas in it, which I love! Here's my tree! 🎄

And of course I still make time for nail art! Here's one I'm very happy with! I'm excited about how the detail came out so clear. I'm not entirely sure if this image was meant to be a specific flower but it looks a lot like little poinsettias to me.

I enjoy Christmas manis and I tend to try and create some that aren't so obviously festive. A little covert, perhaps... What do you think? Does this pass as a version of a holiday mani?

Thank you for stopping by! Blessings to you...

  • Mani Monday...

Hey there, how are you today? I'm pretty good for a Monday. 😊 I'm feeling very introverted this evening so I don't have a lot to say...but I did paint a little late night mani. This is the first time I have stamped over a textured polish and I must say I'm super excited about how it turned out!

Well, there you have it. I hope you like it! In my mind it's hard to go wrong with zebra... I hope you have a great night and see you soon!

  • February Nail Art Challenge - 04

Hey there! How are you today? I hope you're doing well and enjoying your week so far. Today is the second day to paint your nails for the February Nail Art Challenge and today's theme - Polkadots!

I wanted to do something a little different for the theme so I thought having it all be textured would be fun. I know it's only been two manis so far for the challenge but it's fun to have a theme to go by for a change. Be sure to swing by again soon for the next theme! I hope you have a wonderful day!

  • Winter White

Good day to you! I hope you're having a great week. I haven't used white much. Sometimes I think it's a bit difficult to work with, just kind of unforgiving because it needs to be so crisp. But this textured white polish took me by surprise and I love it!

This white is so bright yet soft. I just love it! I used three thinner coats then glitter faded a very fine glitter so that it would settle well into the texture. I was a little concerned that the gloss in the glitter would take away the matte liquid sand finish but it worked just right.

I hope you have a wonderful night! See you soon. :)

  • Below Zero

So...I hope no one else is as cold as Colorado Springs has been the past few days. I think it actually reached 9 degrees today not to mention the below zero temps overnight. Brrrrr..... It sure does make me grateful for my warm little home.

This simple review is what I painted last night after a couple sad failures for a different mani I had in mind. Perhaps this weekend will be more successful. :) This is the lovely Dahlia from the original Zoya PixiDust collection which was only the beginning of the amazing PixiDust polishes.

I just love the PixiDust collections! I have the full original collection and then several from each after that. They apply best for me without a base coat and of course no top coat as to not ruin the matte glitter and textured effect. I always use two coats for these polishes being sure to let the first dry because if not I've noticed the second coat can pull up the first a bit. Otherwise I love the application of these polishes and it allows for so much control that I literally have no clean-up around the cuticles. Fabulous!

Stay warm everyone! Thank you for visiting today.

  • Textured Hombre

Good day to you! I hope you had a good weekend. Mine was longer than normal because I traveled to visit my best friend in Texas but even four days wasn't enough time with her.

So after wearing the last mani I posted for the trip I decided to paint an hombre mani with two Liquid Sand shades by O.P.I. One is new and the other you can find on a post from a while back on Instagram. I used a different method for this hombre than I normally do because of the texture but it still created the same look.

So what do ya think? :) I like the textured look a lot and it was a simple mani too so it's a less time consuming way to achieve a unique look. I think these two polishes compliment each other well too even though they also contrast.

I hope you have a good Sunday night and a good start to the week tomorrow whatever you head out to do. Thanks for stopping by!

  • Holiday O.P.I.

Hello and happy Tuesday! I hope you have had a wonderful day. Mine was pretty normal with a full day of work and of course, nail polish! Here is a new shade from the O.P.I. Mariah Carey Holiday Collection. After looking over the collection I ended up with two of the Liquid Sand shades. Here's one of them called "Baby Please Come Home".

This shade is a beautiful gunmetal-lilac that is perfect for the holidays! It applies perfectly, easy to control with the fabulous O.P.I. brush. It wears very well which is great because the shade goes with everything. It's that perfect amount of glitz for any occasion.

Have you tried any of the new Mariah Carey collection? There are many shades so I'm sure there's something for everyone.

I hope you have a wonderful evening!
