  • A England Snowflakes

Hey there! How are you? I've been so bad at posting here the last few months. Thanks for still swinging by now and then, though. How is your holiday season going so far? I've had a good month so far, decorating my house for my second Christmas in my home and staying warm now that Colorado Springs finally welcomed winter.

I've still been busy with nail art though! Here's a mani I painted and stamped with two A England polishes. A England was the first indie polish I heard of and I immediately fell in love with the gorgeous colors and flawless formula!

This snowflake image from Bundle Monster stamped perfectly with MoYou Londond's clear stamper. It's so exciting when the image transfers exactly how it was meant to!

  • MoYou London|Crystal Clear Stamper

Hello, there! I can't believe how long it's been since I posted. So sorry about that. I'm very grateful for work but I must say, it takes a lot of my energy so even when I paint my nails I tend to only post on Instagram since it's so quick.

Anyway, I hope you're well and are enjoying the beautiful autumn weather! I recently purchased another clear stampper, my third. This one is from MoYou London. It's called "Your Best Crystal Clear Stamp & Scraper" and I must say, the name is very accurate! Here's the first mani I used it for and I was so excited at how perfectly it picked up and transferred the images. It's also very large so it's very simple to see all the way through it when placing the image on your nail.

Ther you have it, friends! If you're looking for the best clear stamper yet, I highly recommend this one! It's available on the MoYou London site and they ship internationally.

I hope you have a wonderful day and I hope to see you again soon!

  • Cirque | Vice 2016

Hi there, how are you? I'm doing quite well today. The last couple months have been extra challenging but I've made it through πŸ™ŒπŸΌ and am actually off work all this week! I needed a break and my last day off was at Christmas so it was time.

I don't have a lot planned this week, on purpose, but you know I'm definitely making time for nail polish! I've been really good avoiding temptation to buy more polish lately until a couple summer collections launched. In the past, I would have just added every bottle in the collection to my cart but I'm still trying to be somewhat good so I chose three neon creams, out of five, from The Vice Collection 2016 by Cirque Colors.

Here are my swatches! I really love the three colors I chose!

Rehab - A vibrant periwinkle, blue cream.

Sin City - An intense, glowing coral cream.

High Roller - A neon mint green cream.

The other two colors that are part of the collection is a yellow (Electric Daisy) and a pink (Plastik) which are pictured below (photo from CirqueColors.com).

Also available is Cirque's holo top coat called We Trippy, pictured below over the creams (photo from CirqueColors.com). This was a limited edition last year when I purchased it and I love it! It's limited again this year so don't miss out if you're a holo lover like myself!

The Vice Collection is available now on Cirque and through various other stockists. Enjoy!

  • Fashion Inspired

Hello, hello! How are you today? I'm doing well. I've had a relaxing day painting my nails! I haven't spent so much time on a mani in a while until today. I was inspired for the mani I painted today by a Carolina Herrara dress from her Spring 2015 collection.

I absolutely love fashion, especially couture fashion. Many years ago I thought by now I would be a couture fashion designer. I have so many sketches from years ago but it's been quite some time since I've designed clothing. I'm still inspired by fashion though so it's fun to recreate fashion in nail art form.

This was quite the process... I painted scotch tape in the different colors I needed with Cirque Colors. Then I cut the tape in tiny pieces and placed the pieces where I wanted with tweezers. At first I thought I might just create this art on a couple accent nails but in the end I covered all 10 nails!

I hope you have a fabulous evening! I hope you like how this turned out!

  • Contrast

Hey there; how are you today? It was a serious Monday for me today... Never a dull moment at work, I tell you! Thankfully there's always nail polish!

So yesterday, I can't believe myself, but I actually went to Target and King Soopers for my weekend errands with naked nails!! 😱 I can't remember the last time I was in public with naked nails...

Of course, naked nails don't last long for me! I just can't help it... So I gathered a few Cirque Colors and decided on a simple dry brushed mani with a nude base for contrast. I really love how this combo turned out!

I love the dry brush technique because it's simple but has such a cool effect! It's also one of the fastest nail art techniques ever which is great too! I hope you enjoy it!

I hope you have a great week ahead. Sometimes when Monday's come I have to keep in mind that they're a beginning and beginnings are full of opportunity. So let's go make this week one to remember!

    Thanks for swinging by!

  • Cirque La Vie

Hey there! So, in case you haven't noticed, my favorite polish is Cirque Colors! I have a very difficult time not purchasing every shade they create! (And the Spring Collection launches tonight!!) Here is a taped mani I created with three Cirque Colors.

Here's a bit of the process for my taped mani. I've been using tape for about 20 years (no joke) in my manis. Before there was nail art tape and nail vinyls I used masking tape and cut it in all kinds of shapes so I could paint around it. These days there are great tools and supplies, pre-made, to help the process go a little faster. These are nail vinyls in 90 degree angles.

I'm VERY excited about how this turned out! It's so great to pull back the tape and see the finished product!

I hope you have a great evening and a good Good Friday tomorrow! Thanks for swinging by!

  • More Festival

Hi! So... I haven't posted this often in a very long time! Something about the new Bundle Monster Festival Collection of stamping plates has me on a roll with ideas so I hope you don't mind seeing them all! πŸ˜„

I started this mani with the saranwrap technique using three Cirque Colors. As I mentioned in my last post after using Poli-Peel for the first time I thought I'd try applying it once per technique. So I did that with this mani and it worked super well!  It was a very easy clean up after this step!

Then...I had to stamp! I used another Festval image in black over the base design. I chose one that lets through the base so it could all work together. I used my new clear stamper to get the designs as straight as I could.

I hope you like this one! It was hard to take off the ombre arrows from the other day but I was just too excited to paint more of my ideas.

I hope you have a great evening and a good Tuesday ahead!

  • Organic

Hello! How have the first few days of extra light in the evenings been for you?! I always do a little dance when we get to Spring forward! I just love the extra light after work!

I ordered and just received the Festival Collection stamping plates from Bundle Monster. There are so many detailed and intricate designs in the collection, not to mention fun! I have lots of ideas for so many of the images!

    (Photo Cred: Bundle Monster, Instagram)

I started with a tribal design from the collection. The design itself isn't completely perfect so I decided to add more depth to it by using black and white for the stamping. It's actually the first time I've used more than one polish for stamping, if you can believe it.

I'm normally the one who needs everything just right, clean, crisp... But something about the way this turned out is also just right. The black and white random blending in this design created an organic look. I really love the result!

I hope you have a great evening! Thank you for taking a peek at my little corner of the nail art world... 😘

  • Art Inspires Art

Hey there! How are you doing today?

I've had two very long weeks at work! I have a couple really big projects going on and the work has really drained me lately. Thankfully, there are weekends! So I've been relaxing today and I had time and energy to paint a mani I've been thinking of for a few days. One of my favorite jewelry designers is Todd Reed. He's based out of Boulder, CO but has showrooms and retailers in many locations. He has this incredible style of blending the polished with the organic!

I've loved this cuff he created for some time, but for some reason when I saw it posted again this week it struck me differently and I was inspired to paint a manicure based on it. (Photo Cred: @toddreedjewelry on IG)

I had fun painting this mani and I'm very happy with how it turned out! I hope you like it too. I used all Cirque Colors: Never Nude, Helios, Miami-Dade and Memento Mori.

If you haven't heard of Todd Reed, I suggest you look his designs up this moment! πŸ˜‹ I hope you have a great rest of the weekend!

  • Cirque | Lucy's Stash

Hello there! We've made it to Thursday! I woke up today thinking it was Friday because surely all the work I've done this week is enough for it to be Friday already. At least tomorrow I'll wake up and it really will be Friday!

I normally paint with color but I was in the mood for a nice pallet cleanser. I have a stamped mani to show you today with Cirque Colors' Modern Muse and a stamping image from a Bundle Monster/Nail Art Blogger collaboration plate. I LOVE this plate! All the designs are from Lucy's Stash.

Modern Muse is a soft, almost rose gold, pink holo. It's so perfect and as you can see from the sun shot, it has fabulous holo! I love stamping with black over light or neutral colors because I really like the contrast. This mani is no exception; I love the way this turned out.

I hope you enjoy this mani too! Happy tomorrow is Friday!

  • The Trouble With Valentines

Happy Friday my friends!! How was your week? I'm so glad it's the weekend. I loooove sleeping in so that's pretty much what I look forward to the most about the weekend. This week was a fun nail mail week! One of the deliveries was the sweet limited edition collection called The Trouble With Valentines. It's a collaboration trio between three indi polish brands, Serum No. 5, Lacquer Lust and Cirque Colors. Everything is wonderful about this collection, starting with the packaging!

First up, "Singles Awareness Day" by Serum No. 5. A deep berry holo that glows in the dark! Sadly I couldn't get it to glow...πŸ˜• But I'll keep trying! This is two coats plus my trusty Seche Vite top coat. Great application of this polish. It's my first polish from Serum No. 5 and it's very user-friendly.

Next is "Unloved Unicorn" from Lacquer Lust. This indie polish brand has mastered the creation of unicorns! It all started with a polish called Unicorn Porn and each season now reveals a new unicorn. This combo of glitters in the unicorn silver holo base has red, fuchsia and black hex glitters spread throughout. This is two coats with Seche Vite top coat.

Last but definitely not least...drumroll please... is "Karma Sutra" from my favorite polish creator, Cirque Colors. If you remember Cirque's Holiday 2015 collection, it included two polishes with silver flakes. One called Reflektor which was completely silver and the other, Halcyon was a rose gold version. This polish is a deep, red-wine-leaning-pink version and is the polish of the collection that I just had to have! It's my favorite, applies like butter πŸ˜‹ and is soooo gorgeous; these pics don't do it justice. This is two coats over Cirque's Holdfast Base Coat and Seche Vite top coat.

So this is The Trouble With Valentines... What do you think?!? It's such a fun collection and even though the three polishes were created for the Valentine season they're wearable year-round, if you ask me.

Thanks for swinging by and I hope you enjoyed my showing off this collection. Happy weekend to you and see you soon!

  • ILNP | After Midnight

Hello, how is your week going? I keep thinking I'm a day closer to Friday and then I realize I'm not. This week has been been difficult and draining in a few ways, but I'm still so grateful for what I have and each day is a new day...

For some reason the past few Decembers I've waited too long to paint festive manis. I don't know why, so I'm going to paint more this year. Here's a simple taped mani to form a little Christmas tree.

I hope you like how this turned out as much as I do! It's kind of like an outdoor tree scene in the snow... I hope the rest of your week goes well. Check back soon for my next festive mani...

  • Cirque|Au

Hey there! Sorry I've been such a stranger lately... I've posted plenty on Instagram, just haven't had as much time to post here. I plan on improving that over the holiday season, though.

A little while back I was tagged on Instagram to answer a little questionnaire about my nail polish story. One of the questions was something along the lines of, "what's your biggest polish regret?" Well, mine was not purchasing the incredible Cirque Colors polish called "Au". It's a 23k gold flake top coat and was created last year and then retired. πŸ˜• Well...upon the announcement of Cirque's 2015 Holiday Collection, Au was brought back for it!! I purchased all four polishes in the collection but was most excited about Au. So, I present to you, Au.✨

What do you think!?! I just LOVE this!! I was curious how it would apply and it's really great! In some places I "blobbed" it on a bit but for the most part, it was perfect! I had to use another Cirque color for the base, NYFW, the first release of The Metropolis Collection and I love this combination!

If you're interested, head over to Cirque Colors and pick up this gem! I'm sure it's only available again for a limited time.

Thanks for swinging by! I hope you're having a great November and I'll see you soon!!

  • September | Metropolis

Hello, hello! How are you? Can you believe it's almost the middle of September?! I just can't believe how fast the summer flew by!

I have to admit though, that fall and winter colors are my absolute favorite for nail polish! So with all the new collections being released, I'm giddy! And also very challenged on what to buy... Now that I'm a home owner and have house stuff to do, I no longer add the whole collections to my cart like I used to.

Anyways... Here are the first three polishes I have for September. Cirque Colors is my favorite polish and as I've mentioned before they have a monthly release of cream colors inspired by NYC to make up The Metropolis Collection. They released three this month and I absolutely adore them!

    Page Six

    Jane on Jane St.

Deco (my fave of the three!)

And of course a combination of them all!

The Metropolis Collection is amazing, the formulas are perfection and there are so many gorgeous colors to choose from! Don't forget that Cirque has nail treatments too. I'm on my second bottle of their base coat and I can't live without their Tea Tree Cuticle Oil.

I hope you have a wonderful day!

  • Cirque Forever...

Hey there, how are you? I'm doing pretty well and enjoying these late summer days. Recently, Cirque Colors created a limited edition collection for a Nordstrom Pop-In shop along with Warby Parker. If you don't know Warby Parker please check them out. They give back with every purchase! I have all the swatches in a previous post so look there to see all of them.

I love all the shades! I chose Greenwich and a couple other Cirque Colors for nail art...

I used Greenwich, Epoch and Never Nude for this tapped, dotted mani. I really love how this turned out and I always love how multiple shades from the same creator but collections apart go so well together!

I hope you have a wonderful day! Thanks for stopping by!

  • Cirque|Pacifica

Hello there, how are you today? I'm well. I took a long weekend from work so I've been working on my house and trying to relax also. I've been spending time with my new buddy, too! A pup! I used to have dogs but renting a place the last five years didn't allow me to have one so I knew that would be a priority once I bought my home. Meet Mr. Darcy! The Shiba Inu! He's wonderful!

So, on to nail polish! You know Cirque is one of my all-time favorite polish brands and I can barely stand not buying every shade of every collection! Cirque has collaborated with Nordstrom a few times now for special limited edition collections. This collection called Pacifica, a pop-in with Warby Parker, had me instantly! All the colors are just perfect!

    (photo cred: Cirque Colors, Instagram)

I wanted all five but I decided on four. All but the glitter... Yes, it's gorgeous...I'm just trying to have a little self-control when buying polish these days. πŸ˜‰

This one is Big Sur. It's not as bright in person but in the best way! There is subtle pink shimmer that my picture couldn't capture but it's there and really makes this blue stand out.

Next up is Greenwich. This shade of the bunch surprised me the most. I just love it! It's a very pale blue with gold shimmer but it leans toward the minty side too. I can see this color even in the winter. It just has that special something!

Fear and Loathing in New York is next and I assumed it would be my favorite of the four...and it is! I love, love this concrete gray holo! It has pink holo in it in the sun that just makes me smile! I could wear this every day and love it every minute!

And last but not least, my second favorite of the four, is City Lights. This is a super soft gray, almost white, holo! It's very classy and has just the right amount of holo to keep you staring at it.

So there you have it! Here's a pic from Cirque Colors' Instagram of the fifth shade that I didn't purchase, Iconoclast. It really does look gorgeous!

This amazing collection is available online  at Nordstrom through September 6th. Free shipping too as always with Nordstrom so if you see any you like...want...need, don't delay!

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday. See you soon!

  • Turquoise

Hi there. How are you today? Did you have a fun 4th of July? I can't believe it's July already. I feel like this year is flying by.

I came across this amazing mani that looked like the stone, turquoise, and I had to try to accomplish it myself. The original mani that inspired me was done with a water spotting technique that for the life of me I couldn't get to work. I'll keep trying but in the end I found a stamp that I used to accomplish a very similar look.

I am sooooo excited about how this turned out! I started with the Saran Wrap technique with three shades of turquoise to get the depth of color there then stamped over that. Free hand, I filled in some of the stamping with black and free hand again, I used a copper holo for accenting the black. It's so fun I can barely stand it! 😁

There are lots of tutorials online about the Saran Wrap and water spotting techniques so feel free to browse and see if you like the way others have created manis with them.

I hope you have a relaxing Sunday...I'm going to paint some more in my house (wearing gloves of course as to not ruin my mani) and then relax too. Thank you for stopping by!

  • Happy Fourth with Cirque

Hello, hello! Happy Fourth of July America! And it's good to be back too! I'm sorry for my absence lately. I bought my first house a month ago and have been so busy with homeowner stuff that I just haven't gotten anything posted here. I've kept up with Instagram fairly well so don't forget to find me there too (@_mani_ac).

My little house has been a dream of mine for five years and it's finally mine! It's over 100 years old so there's lots of character but one of my favorite things about it is the sunroom in the front that's my mani-cave! I can't believe I get a whole room devoted to nail polish! Here's a pic of it so far. 😁

So on to the actual polish part of my post. I decided to paint an easy patriotic mani for today with all Cirque Colors.

So there ya have it. I hope you like it. I think it's fun and unexpected. I hope you have a wonderful day and weekend! πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ See you soon!

  • Patchwork

Hello, hello! How are you today? It's such a beautiful day today! I am naturally drawn to darker colors for manicures but with spring in the air it's fun to use brighter colors. I pulled out some polishes from the Cirque Heritage Collection for a reverse stamped mani. Here are a few pictures of my process.

My little work station and the stamped image after filling in the design.

This is one of my favorite manis in a while! Reverse stamping takes extra time so I only used the images on two fingernails on each hand. I like that it wasn't so overwhelming though. Just something a little extra.

I hope you're having a good week so far. Thank you lots for stopping by!

  • Cirque | The Awakening Collection

Hello, hello! How are you today? I am wonderful and so grateful for Saturdays! It's also officially spring! I know that means many different things depending on where you live. It normally means more snow for us here in Colordao Springs but it's actually sunny today!

Well, with the seasons changing in nature, that means fun seasons in fashion and of course nail polish! Cirque Colors has created a brilliant spring transition collection called The Awakening Collection and I have the five polishes to show you today. They are absolutely stunning!

Love Stone - Petal Pink with gold sparks

New Moon - Concrete gray with gold sparks

    Hatch - Specked white

Gaia - Inky black with silver flakes

Qi - Blue turquoise with gold sparks

All the polishes have incredible formulas and are all perfect two-coaters with the exception of Love Stone. I used three thin coats for that one. I expected to favor Gaia and don't get me wrong, it's fabulous, but I was pleasantly surprised with Hatch! I've already worn it twice. My favorite though goes to Qi. I'm a sucker for blues so it won me over with the first brush stroke.

Each of these polishes are limited editions so if any of them catch your eye, head over to Cirque and order yours before they're gone for good. (The description above my photos come from Cirque.)

I hope you have a super Saturday! Thank you for stopping by and see you soon!

  • Teal

Hey there! How are you? I can't believe it's Monday again. I was out of the office really sick all last week 😞 but I'm thankfully on the mend now. I'm back on my nail game and have a great Cirque duo to show you today. Here are Tavern On The Teal and Cerrillos.

This mani is better than I'd hoped! I absolutely love how Cerrillos stamped and it's just the right amount of accent over the cream teal.

I hope you are having a good start to the week! Thank you for swinging by!

Oh Thursday... Thank goodness tomorrow is Friday! These last few weeks at work have definitely taken a toll on me. After my long days at the office, I so look forward to a relaxing evening painting my nails. So here is one of those manis I painted to unwind and enjoy the art of polish!

I love this peacock stamped design but I used it in a different way this time, switching up the colors.  This red holo is so gorgeous! It's a Colors by Llarowe shade called Vamp and is so dreamy! It lights up like crazy in the sun too!

I hope you're doing well and that you have a great Friday tomorrow! Thank you so much for swinging by.😊

This was kind of an unplanned design. I just received new Pueen stamping plates this week so I was trying them out and this happened! I hope you have a great Sunday night and a good start to the week tomorrow.

  • Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas Eve!! How are you today? What are you up to? Do you have any Christmas Eve traditions? Part of my family always goes to this old pizza place for dinner on Christmas Eve called Fargo's. I think it started a while back because after church we drove around trying to find a restaurant open, and it was the only one we found. So, now we go every year. Nothing too fancy but it's fun and yummy!

Well, on to the mani! I decided on using traditional Christmas colors for this one. It's different for me but I think it's pretty.

What do you think? I really like the result and it was simple stamping and dotting so that's nice too. I love that all of A England's holo polishes stamp so well! These two are the perfect Christmas combo too. Thank you for stopping by on this wonderful day! I hope it is wonderful for you and see you again soon!

Hello! Merry Christmas Eve, Eve!!πŸŽ„ My brother and I used to always say that growing up and we thought we were so clever. So now I always remember that. I think it was a way for us to extend the feeling of Christmas. I have a fun, festive, though not classically festive, mani to show you today. I'm so not normally a green person but this Tavern on the Teal is somethin' else!

I had the silver swirl image over the teal for an evening and it just felt like it was missing something so I added the dots later that night and it's just right!

So can you believe it's almost Christmas again?! I'm pretty excited. The month of December has had it's ups and downs for me over the years but this one is definitely up. I hope yours is too, though I do know it can be a challenging time of year for many.

I hope you have a wonderful day and see you soon!

  • Snowflakes

Hello! How are you? I'm doing good, though I got a flat tire today so that's frustrating... I can even see the screw that's in the tire. I guess I'll have to go straight to the tire shop in the morning... Well, something way more fun than car troubles is a new bottle of nail polish one of my besties gave me for my birthday! My first Marc Jacobs polish!😍 Here is Secret Love.

Secret Love is an amazing, vampy, deep plum! The formula is surprisingly thin for the dark pigmentation so I had to really control the polish. The second coat gave it a high shine all on its own. It was difficult to tell if it was drying at all because of its high gloss finish. I couldn't leave the polish alone, of course, so I thought I'd add some snowflakes...❄️❄️❄️

This is one of my blingiest manis ever and I hadn't planned on it being so. I thought it would be simple, then it just ran with a mind of its own. ☺️ I used two Bundle Monster images for this double stamped mani and I used both white and silver holo hoping to add depth to the look. I really love how this turned out! Very unexpected, but I love it!

I hope you have a great Friday! It's almost the weekend... Thank you for stopping by.

  • Auntie Ems

Happy weekend everyone!! I've been absent for a bit...sorry about that. I've had a super busy couple of weeks and this week has been full of excitement because I'm officially an aunt! My brother and sister-in-law brought an incredible baby boy into the world yesterday! I have never been a baby person but oh-my-goodness am I head over heels! His name is Abdiel. It means "Servant of God" in Hebrew. So, I know this isn't a nails pic, but here I am holding Abdiel, a blessing to our family.

So, night before last, as I was hoping and waiting for news of Abdiel's arrival, I did the best thing I could think of...painted my nails, of course! So here's a special mani for an incredibly special occasion.

Well, there you have it! I hope you like this as much as I do! Even though the base color is called Midsummer Night, it really looks festive with the rose gold stamped design and glitter! I hope you have a wonderful weekend! I'm hoping to spend more time with my sweet nephew.

  • Happy 1 Year Anniversay!!

Hello! How are you today? I am doing great! I am all about birthdays and anniversaries... Days that mark something special...and today marks one year of my nail art blog! Wow, that went fast! I have been inspired over the years by many nail polish-aholics, a.k.a. nail artists and I have been privileged to paint my art with much encouragement. Thank you for your encouragement too! Thank you for all the visits you've made to my corner of the world-wide-web to see what I imagine. I am grateful for you!

Here are just a few of my favorites over the last year. All of these have their own posts that you can find if you'd like. And there will be more to come!

For today's manicure, I chose a detailed stamping image and added a little something over top...

I used a couple newer polishes of mine, Concrete Jungle for the base and Bette for the bright blue dots. I like how neutral this manicure is. I wear a lot of black and gray and blue (even though red is my favorite color) so this goes with a lot. It's probably why I was drawn to this combo in the first place. ☺️

Thank you again for stopping by! Here's to the last year and more ahead! πŸŽ‰Welcome December and I hope you have a wonderful day!

  • Thankful...

Hello! How was your Thanksgiving? I had such a wonderful day. I have all of my family here and in walking distance so I took a stroll to my mom's house and had such a relaxing time. I had a great start to the long weekend too, getting to see one of my favorite musicians AND meet her! Tristan Prettyman is beautiful inside and out and sings from her heart. You should check her out if you're not familiar with her tunes.

And now, on to nail polish!! I had a hard time thinking about what kind of manicure to paint for Thanksgiving but at first I was thinking more on the traditional lines of brown, gold, yellow... Then I landed on a dry brush technique idea and I absolutely LOVE how it turned out!

I hope you like this as much as I do! I think the jewel-toned holo polishes are perfect for fall/winter and are a great non-traditional option for a festive mani.

Thank you for swinging by today. I hope you have a great Friday and weekend! I'm thankful for so many things and your appreciation for my nail art is one of them, for sure. See you soon!

  • Dots...

Hey there! How are you today? One of the best and craziest things about where I live is that truly, we can have all four weather seasons in one day. We didn't quite have that but yesterday went from 60 degrees at lunch time to blizzard-like blowing snow and 19 degrees when I was slowly driving home from work. Winter is definitely upon us, here in Colorado Springs and there's not much hope of warmer weather any time soon, either...

One great thing about cold, winter nights is the opportunity to paint my nails (as if I need a reasonπŸ˜‰). I felt like something simple, with interest, so a navy holo base is a great place to start.

I hope you're warm and cozy wherever you are this evening. These cold nights definitely remind me of what a blessing it is to have a home. Thanks for stopping by. See you soon.❄️

  • The farest of them all...

"Mirror, mirror on the wall, who is the fairest of them all?" Cirque Colors is the fairest, to be sure, with their new limited edition Mirror, Mirror. It's one of the most amzing polishes I've ever seen. Cirque has raised the bar for all polishes, not just indie brands. Everyone, look out!

This polish has pure silver-coated flakes of different sizes that covers perfectly in two normal coats. I just don't have words to describe this. It's a limited edition polish that is currently out of stock but I believe Cirque is restocking later this month. Check their site for availability and grab this if you can. It's just incredible.πŸ’Ž

  • Some more Heritage...

Happy Thursday to you!! This week has gone by fast for me. I hope you're having a good week. I was perusing my polish collection and decided to use a few from the a Cirque Heritage collection. It's an incredible collection of holos. Even though these aren't the traditional fall colors, there's still something warm about them.

I used another Cirque holo to stamp with called Alter Ego. I'm pleased with how this turned out! I just love Cirque! I hope you have a great evening and a good Friday tomorrow. Thanks for swinging by!

  • Cirque | Boudoir & Trocadero

Hello, hello...do I have a couple beauties to show you today! Cirque has released a fall collection of four colors called The Burlesque Collection. I always have a hard time not purchasing the whole collection but this time I kept myself under control and bought two of the four.

The first I have to show you is Boudoir. It's described as a vampy burgundy with lots of rainbow holo. Anything berry in color gets me at first glance so I absolutely knew I would order this one. It does lean toward a raspberry rather than "vampy burgundy" as I expected but I still absolutely love it! I used Cirque's Holdfast base coat and Liquid Laminate top coat with two coats of Boudoir.

The next is Trocadero, a true navy holo and it's BEAUTIFUL!! I'm a sucker for blues, and holos of course, and this is no exception. This is a great addition to my blue, holo collection. This is also two coats over Cirque's Holdfast base and under Liquid Laminate top coat.

I couldn't decide which color to wear first so I wore both! Here's a simple taped mani with both Boudoir and Trocadero.

Be sure to check out the Cirque site for the whole Burlesque Collection. You're sure to love it! I hope you have a great evening!

  • Cirque Gradient Water Marble

Hi there, it's nice to have you visit my little corner of the blog world. I hope you're doing well today; we're almost to the weekend! I was inspired by one of THE BEST nail blog artists in the world, Pshiiit, for this mani. I hadn't ever thought about using clear nail polish as part of water marbling but leave it to Camille to come up with the fabulous idea and execute it brilliantly!

I started with an hombre mani from two Cirque, Kontiki Collection, polishes and then water marbled black and clear over top. I just LOVE this idea! It could be used over any color or color combo. It's also pretty simple compared to most water marbling. Have you ever tried water marble? I had an easier time as a beginner with water marble than with stamping but I think I'm not as drawn to it because it is quite a messy process.

I hope you have a lovely evening and I hope to see you soon!

  • Summer Wedding Guest

Good morning! How are you? Are you having a good weekend? I got to go to a wedding yesterday so of course I had to have the perfect outfit and my nails had to be just right! My dress was a bright  cobalt blue, I wore black peep-toe pumps and had gold and black jewelry so I thought this combo for my manicure would compliment everything perfectly!

So there ya have it! I loved the outcome! I felt like a famous person attending an event. My dress was from my favorite boutique here in Colorado Springs called Eve's Revolution. They have the best clothes! I hope you like my mani! And I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!

  • Cirque | Kontiki

Good morning! I hope you're having a wonderful weekend. I've had a great time trying out the new Kontiki collection from Cirque! It was released this past Tuesday with three limited edition polishes that are truly amazing! They're all a jelly formula with fabulous shimmer to them. The depth of the colors are fantastic and each leave you staring at them, discovering the colors they shift to beneath their layers.

Dear Dahlia is described by Cirque as a bright fuchsia which I saw more in the sunlight. I think it also leans to a bit coral indoors but it does depend on the lighting. The formula is on the thinner side though still easily controllable. I don't like seeing any of my nail through the polish so three coats helped. I don't always go for pinks but this one surprised me with it's stunning delicacy.

Thicker Than Water is a fabulous turquoise! I love all things turquoise! It's so dazzling yet refreshing at the same time. The color is bright and perfect for summer. The formula was just right but again, I painted three coats to make sure of full coverage. In some light, this took on much more green than blue.

Midsummer Night is hands down my favorite of the three. I'm just a sucker for blues and royal blues are the best! This is two coats concentrating near my cuticles to cover my moons well. It was the thickest formula of the three for me but not by much and it was still easy to control. This polish reminds me most of Cirque's Coronation which might be one of the reasons I love it so much. Sadly, the sun isn't out today for an outdoor shot. I'll try and take one soon.

Overall, the Kontiki collection is beautiful! Just the right colors so even though there are only three, there's something for everyone. I still see the three for sale on Cirque's site so if any of these seem irresistible to you, get 'em while you can!

I hope you have a wonderful rest of the day. I hope to see you soon!

  • Cerrillos, Powwow with a twist of XX

Hi there! Happy almost weekend everyone! I have a bright mani to show you this evening and I used three Cirque polishes for an hombre glitter fade combo.

I do believe these photos speak for themselves. As always, I just love Cirque polishes. All three of these are still available on Cirque's site and Amazon also carries these beauties.

    I hope you have a lovely evening.✨

  • Cirque | Coronation

Hi there, how are you? I'm doing pretty well. I'm so glad it's the weekend and I can't believe that I get to show you the MOST amazing polish I have ever seen! Cirque created a shade called Coronation a while back as a collaboration with the jeweler Jeannie Vianney. It was on my wish list the moment I laid eyes on it but a little out of my price range. Last week, Cirque had an anniversary sale and I acted fast to add this rare beauty to my cart! So, enough of my chit chat, here she is!

I just can't stop staring at my mani! This is an incredible jelly formula with copper shimmer as well as hints of blue shimmer. In some lighting this polish looks a rich burgundy, then all of a sudden it's an electric purple...it's everything I hoped for and more! The ring is a delicate rose gold crown that adjusts in size. I think it'll be a great stacker too. I'm not sure how much longer Coronation will be around but I am so excited to have a bottle.

I hope you have a great day! Thank you for stopping by.

  • Spattered Stamping

Hello! How are you today? I hope your week is off to a good start. I'm trying to keep cool about my week...it's crazy busy at work which will be pretty draining for an introvert like myself. Oh well, I'll get as much done as I can and look forward to the evenings when I can relax and paint my nails!

Here is a double stamped nail art look that I'm so excited about! It was a bit experimental since I have only double stamped once before but the result is really cool!

I started with two coats of the fabulous Powwow from Cirque's newest collection and then added my trusty quick dry top coat. I stamped the splattered image with black and then repeated the stamping process with another incredible Cirque color. I specifically chose the second stamping color to be a bit on the transparent side so that it didn't completely cover the black. So fun!

Have a great day and I hope to see you again soon!

  • Panacea

Happy Sunday! I love sleeping in on the weekends, the birds chirping outside and the sun light brightening my bedroom to gently wake me up...sigh... :) I hope you're weekend has been relaxing too. I have another Cirque color to show you today. It's called Panacea and it a beautiful bright green holo. This is definitely not a color I'm normally drawn to but when purchasing the Heritage collection, I decided to include it to stretch my norm a bit.

I started with two easy coats of Panacea and then chose a silver chrome polish to stamp a simple image over it. I wanted the base to show through the majority of the image. I can't say enough how much I love Cirque polishes!

Thank you for swinging by today!

  • More Heritage

Happy weekend! How are you? I have another gorgeous polish from Cirque's new Heritage collection  called Cerrillos. I think it's my favorite of the collection or else a tie with Sky Woman. Here's Cerrillos.

I started with two coats of Cerrillos, used an A England favorite to stamp and then dotted another Cirque Heritage polish over the top for an eye catching edge. I hope you like it and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your weekend.

  • More Cirque Fabulousness!

Happy Saturday! I hope you're having a good day so far. I thought I'd swatch all the new Cirque colors today but I couldn't help just diving in and creating more nail art with them so instead, here is another mani with the remaining two colors from the new Heritage collection I didn't use in my last mani.

I started with an hombre mani using the two Cirque colors and I love how well they blend! They created a slight hombre and an almost sunset-like feel. I stamped a delicate design over them in a silvery-purple chrome polish so that the hombre would still show through and I love the outcome!

Thank you for taking a peek into my world of polish! I hope you have a wonderful day.

  • New Cirque Fabulousness!!

Hello fellow polish lovers! Wow, do I have fabulousness to show you today! One of my very favorite indi-polishes ever, Cirque, has launched a new collection called Heritage. It consists of seven unbelievable holo polishes and I used five to create this mani.

As always, these incredible polishes are completely flawless. They apply like a dream and are opaque in two coats. They are holo polishes with a twist because they each have a new dimension. I hope to swatch them all this weekend but I chose these few to paint with this time.

    Have a great night!

  • Enchanted

Hello and happy Thursday to you! How has your week been? I have an amazing polish to show you today. It's my first Enchanted Polish! I've drooled over swatches of Enchanted Polish on my favorite blogs since the beginning but it's been near impossible to get my hands on it. Seems like it's out of stock everywhere, all the time. Well, I was able to order the mystery February 2014 polish and it just arrived so here it is!

The February 2014 is a rich, berry holo that is just flawless. It has a perfect formula and in the sun, it takes your breath away. I added art to it since it's super tough for me to wear a polish by itself so I decided to add my favorites: A England and Cirque!

I hope you have a great Friday and hope to see you soon!

  • Green

Well, Happy St. Patrick's Day! I don't necessarily do anything different or special to celebrate this holiday (though my boyfriend and I are going to a really cool concert tonight) but I wanted to show a little spirit on my nails.πŸ€

I used two Cirque polishes for this glitter fade mani and it's amazing how much you can do with Alter Ego. It has so many colors to its holo effect, as you can see in the last photo I took in the sun, that it picks up and blends with almost any color you chose to pair it with. I also decided to give the new O.P.I. Glitter Off base coat a try under this mani so I look forward to literally peeling this mani off when the time comes rather than scrubbing for a half hour.

I hope you have a great day and that your week gets off to a good start!

Hi there! Yay, we're past the middle of the week already! My last couple days have been quite long with a lot going on at work. How has your week been so far? Thankfully, there's always nail polish to help me chill out. Here is the very first Cirque Polish I bought a couple years ago and one of my all time favorite polishes.

This Polish is a fabulous jelly-cobalt with super fine silver glitter in bars and hexagonal shapes. This is two coats with a Bundle Monster stamping image on just a couple nails. I love it and have actually had it on my nails now for three days which nearly never happens for me. :)

I hope you have a fabulous Thursday and I'll see you soon!

Happy weekend to you! How is your weekend going? I've had a great one so far shopping with my man, going to family dinner, being lazy and of course...painting my nails! Today's February Nail Art Challenge theme is "animal". Here's what I decided to paint. :)

So what do you think? I'm pretty excited about how this turned out. I must say though that great polishes have so much to do with great nail art. If you have yet to check out Cirque or A England, I highly recommend you do. Only two more nail art themes for this month so see you soon!

I hope you have a great rest of your Sunday!

  • Alter Ego

Today is a great day because I get to show you Alter Ego from Cirque! This has been available for a while now and was originally released as a collaboration with Arms & Armory which included an awesome special edition ring. Cirque recently offered this shade though sans ring which was more in my price range so even though I'm missing out on the ring, I have the polish!

This Polish is so pleasantly surpriseng! Before I saw it in person it seemed to be more of a black holo. Now that I have it on, it proudly displays its deep cocoa and gunmetal gray sides to it. I don't have anything else like it; it's definitely a one of a kind gem that I'm so excited to have.

I hope your afternoon is a wonderful one! Thanks for swinging by!

  • NY to Singapore to CO

Hi, hi! We're halfway through the week and I've had a great one so far! I hope yours has been good too. Here's a polish I've wanted for quite sometime but it's a special edition for a distributor in Singapore so I kept waiting to order it for some reason. It was well worth the wait!

I used two coats of the deep charcoal then faded the glitter over it. That ended up giving the charcoal a brown tint to it because of the coral jelly base of Fleur est Belle. It's an incredibly beautiful color! I look forward to wearing it in the summer because it's so warm and bright. In order to make it work for winter though, I decided on the dark base.

I hope you have a great day!

  • So...this took a while...

Happy Sunday everyone. I hope you're having a good weekend. Just for a change of pace, I thought I'd paint my nails. ;) So my idea ended up taking nearly forever but, I am happy with the outcome!

I started with two coats of the lovely Cirque Baptisia, stamped over that then fished out individual glitters from another Cirque polish, XX, to add to the design. Yeah, it was definitely time consuming but so fun! :) Have a fun afternoon full of whatever you hope for! Take care and hopefully see you soon!

  • Baptisia at Fascination Street

Good evening! I hope you had a wonderful week! Mine was quite good and I have a three-day weekend so even better! Add two more amazing polishes from Cirque that I will show you below and it doesn't get much better. :) I used two shades that are from two different collections, like my last post too. It's amazing how across the Cirque collections the tones of the colors compliment each other so well. Here are Baptisia from the latest collection, Alchemy and Fascination Street from the Dark Horse collection.

I decided to tape off a reverse moonicure, as I like to call it. I'm so pleased with the way it turned out! I love the subtle shimmer and sparkle offered through the incredible Baptisia. And Fascination Street is an amazing holo polish. Both of these colors lean more purple in natural light but shift to blue off and on which makes these so enjoyable. I hope you enjoy too.

    Happy weekend to you!

  • Cirque Blend

I believe these two Cirque colors were meant to blend! Never Nude is from the original collection called Dark Horse but Mink is brand new from the Alchemy collection. I've had Mink a few weeks but just purchased and received Never Nude yesterday and the moment I saw it in person I knew I needed to blend the two.

It's just as I imagined and more! The holo effects of both colors blend perfectly! I used two coats of Never Nude first, then applied Mink and more Never Nude to get just the right blend. If you have yet to try Cirque, wait no more. I promise you will be thrilled! You can order through cirquecolors.com.

Good morning! This is a simple mani that is nothing I started out thinking I would paint. I've been stamping like crazy lately so I planned to stamp again when I thought, I don't want to cover up the amazing goodness of this flawless red from Cirque! I absolutely love this indi-polish!

You can find this incredible Cirque polish and many others that all apply and wear like a dream (not to mention all have a hint of lavender) on cirquecolors.com. I used two coats plus top coat. I hope you have a fabulous Tuesday!
